Many landslides appeared in the western region of Lam Dong.

Due to the effects of prolonged heavy rain, many areas in the West of Lam Dong suffered landslides, causing damage to people's property.

On September 8, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhan Co Commune ( Lam Dong ) Tran Cong Dung said that the local government and functional forces have basically overcome the landslide area on Dao Nghia - Quang Khe road, through village 17, Nhan Co commune.

According to Mr. Dung, in recent days, due to prolonged heavy rain, on the morning of September 7, a landslide occurred from a high point down to the traffic road in village 17.

Immediately after receiving the information, the authorities promptly directed the Village Self-Management Committee to coordinate with functional forces to inspect and implement remedial measures to ensure travel for people.

Local authorities warn that this is a road section where landslides often occur, especially during the rainy season, so people should limit traveling through this area.

Similarly, on September 6-7, several landslides occurred in villages 4, 8 and 14, Kien Duc commune (Lam Dong), causing great damage to people's property.

According to preliminary reports, the landslides did not cause any human casualties but many people's properties and crops were damaged.
