
Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Kuninori Takagi's contributions to promoting medical cooperation between Japan and Ho Chi Minh City; especially the awarding of medical scholarships to Vietnamese students and the support and professional training for doctors at the Cho Ray Vietnam-Japan Health Check-up Center (HECI), contributing to healthcare for people in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces.
Informing the delegation, the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that the city is entering a new phase of development with the goal of becoming an economic , financial, scientific, technological, and healthcare center of Southeast Asia. In the healthcare sector, the city aims to develop a modern, intelligent, and specialized healthcare system; while strongly promoting digital transformation, precision medicine, regenerative medicine, biotechnology, and a university hospital model based on international standards.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that, during this process, the City has identified international cooperation as playing a very important role, especially cooperation with training institutions, hospitals, and major medical corporations in Japan. Ho Chi Minh City is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for cooperation in investment, training, research, and technology transfer in accordance with Vietnamese law. At the same time, the City will also direct relevant departments and agencies to closely coordinate with partners to overcome difficulties and promote the effective and substantive implementation of cooperation activities.
Regarding IUHW University, which is part of the IUHW Group, Mr. Kuninori Takagi, President of the IUHW Group, stated that IUHW University is one of the leading private medical training institutions in Japan, pioneering the implementation of training programs in both Japanese and English.
Mr. Kuninori Takagi expressed his desire to invest in medical facilities so that people can access high-quality Japanese medical services right in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as contribute to the socio-economic development of the city. He hopes to continue receiving support from the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and relevant departments and agencies for IUHW Group in its investment and business activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
