In 2013, while in his final year at the Diplomatic Academy and facing crucial career choices, Hung Anh received an offer to become a broadcaster at the Military Broadcasting and Television Center. For Hung Anh, it was an opportunity to realize his dream of standing on stage or in front of television screens, conveying stories of life to millions of viewers and listeners. Filled with enthusiasm and ambition, Hung Anh entered the competition meticulously prepared in terms of appearance, diction, presentation, and mental preparation for standing before the judges and cameras. With luck combined with hard work, Hung Anh was hired and gradually became a familiar face on Vietnam's National Defense Television channel.

Presenters face immense pressure, both in terms of time constraints and accuracy. For live news broadcasts or current affairs programs, Hung Anh strives to minimize errors, adhere closely to the script, and control his speech because everything he says is immediately broadcast to millions of viewers nationwide. At the same time, he practices controlling his emotions, ensuring that personal issues do not affect the audience's ability to objectively receive information.
For those who take on the role of a presenter, the most stressful part is undoubtedly hosting live stage events. Hung Anh was no exception. In 2015, when he was first assigned by his unit commander to host a live stage event in Hai Phong , he lost sleep for several nights. Every time he closed his eyes, he imagined himself standing on a large stage, in front of tens of thousands of spectators. To relieve the pressure, Hung Anh would walk alone along the guesthouse corridor every day to review the script, practice his hosting, and improve his vocals... Finally, the program ended to the applause of the audience and the satisfaction of the director. Hung Anh felt happy that he had contributed to the success of the event.
Even after more than 10 years in the profession, Hung Anh still receives a lot of feedback, both praise and criticism, from his superiors and colleagues. He always appreciates those opinions and considers them as motivation to strive even harder on the path of journalism that he is persistently pursuing.
Today, with technology constantly advancing, many countries around the world are using AI presenters to host news programs on television. How to avoid being lost or replaced by AI is a constant concern for Hung Anh. He then learned from experience: When hosting news broadcasts, especially specialized military and defense news on the Vietnam National Defense Television channel, the presenter cannot be as rigid as an AI; instead, they must be very skillful in simultaneously conveying information and emotion to the audience. In addition, he always strives to improve his military and defense knowledge to be able to adapt to any situation that may arise.
With a sense of responsibility and a relentless pursuit of learning, Hung Anh has earned the trust of his superiors, who have entrusted him with hosting many important programs at the ministerial and national levels. Notably, at one point, he was assigned to host two live programs in a single day: the "Youth Innovation Award Ceremony in the Army" in the morning, and the "10th Anniversary of Vietnam National Defense Television" in the evening. Despite the fatigue, Hung Anh is very happy and fulfilled to be able to dedicate his youthful energy to his work and to the organization. At the end of each program, he always receives handshakes, encouragement, and congratulations from his superiors, colleagues, and the audience. This is a priceless gift that Hung Anh cherishes and serves as a source of motivation for him to strive even harder.
Behind Hung Anh's success, his family is indispensable. As a news anchor, his schedule clashes with his family life, making family meals rare. But amidst the busy work schedule, love is present in every small, simple, yet meaningful moment. Often, he finishes work at the office and arrives home just as his wife is about to go to work. They meet at the end of the street, and even if only for a few short minutes, their eyes filled with concern, and warm words of encouragement, give him strength to confidently carry out the duties assigned by the Army. His youngest daughter, now 3 years old, is the joy and happiness of Hung Anh and his wife. Although he doesn't have much time with his daughter, thanks to his wife's devoted care, Hung Anh can always focus on his duties. He shared: "My wife and I aren't always together, but our unity and understanding are the bonds that help my family overcome all challenges."
