Many groundbreaking projects encourage creativity among teachers in Thu Duc City.

On August 22nd, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City held a ceremony to summarize the 2023-2024 school year and implement tasks for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to a report from the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, in the 2023-2024 school year, Thu Duc City had 384 schools with nearly 210,000 students. The total number of administrators and teachers in the entire education sector was over 15,700.

As a result of the school year's tasks, the preschool level achieved a 95% enrollment rate for children of preschool age (5 years old). At the primary and lower secondary levels, the enrollment rate for grades 1 and 6 reached 100%. Specifically, the lower secondary school graduation rate reached 99.8%, with 79.4% of students successfully admitted to public grade 10.

To date, 87.6% of schools in the locality have received educational quality accreditation. The ratio of classrooms is 310 classrooms per 10,000 people of school age (3-18 years old).

The Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee and the Chairman of the Thu Duc City People's Committee presented the city's emulation flag to the units that achieved outstanding results.

In particular, Thu Duc City has formed a community of creative teachers in Thu Duc City; organized a Fanpage to share all creative ideas, digital learning materials, and obstacles and difficulties in innovating teaching methods at all levels of education. It organized a competition for teachers to design e-learning lessons on LMS at the primary and secondary school levels with 802 teachers participating and 1,778 lesson entries, aiming to build open educational resources to serve teaching and learning inside and outside schools. It also implemented the construction and storage of a digital learning materials repository with 39,841 documents and lesson plans.

The Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City is at the forefront of emulation and innovation movements.

Thu Duc City is also building and implementing Google's digital school model at educational institutions in the area during the 2023-2025 period; coordinating with Google Education Vietnam to open "Google for Education" training classes for all teachers. Currently, Hoa Lu Secondary School and Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School are the first schools in the country to have all 57 teachers participating in the Google Certified Educator level 1 training program and achieving global certification...

According to Mr. Dung, in the 2023-2024 school year, the quality of education and training in Thu Duc City improved and achieved many high results.
