Despite the hot and humid weather during the April 30th - May 1st holiday, many tourists still chose Hoi An city for their sightseeing trip.

Hoi An Ancient Town attracts the most tourists during this period. It is a favorite destination for many people. Observations on the evening of April 30th showed that many streets in Hoi An Ancient Town attracted a large number of tourists enjoying themselves, sightseeing, and admiring the scenery.

"Hoi An is our favorite destination when we travel to Vietnam. The people here are friendly, the food is rich, and we will recommend it to our friends and will return to Hoi An ancient town many more times," shared Andrey (a British tourist).

According to the Hoi An City Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center, during the first few days of the April 30th - May 1st holiday, despite the hot weather, the number of tourists visiting the ancient town remained very high.

Initial statistics show that approximately 11,000 tickets were sold to visitors on April 27-28, mostly to tour groups and international tourists.

"This is the second time our family has visited Hoi An for a holiday. This year, the weather was hot and humid during the day, so we stayed in a hotel with a swimming pool and a spacious environment. In the evening, we strolled through the old town, ate, and shopped. Hoi An has always been a favorite destination for my whole family," shared Ms. Bich Ngoc (a tourist from Hanoi).

Recently, Hoi An was honored by the American website Smoky Mountains as one of the safest places in the world to travel solo.

In 2024, Hoi An City aims to welcome 4.3 million visitors, including over 3.2 million international tourists and over 1 million domestic tourists. Total tourism revenue is projected to reach VND 4,538.6 billion, a 9.64% increase compared to the same period.
