On October 25, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province) issued a notice reminding tourists to ensure safety when swimming in the sea in unfavorable weather conditions.
According to the announcement, due to the impact of storm Fengshen (storm No. 12), Nha Trang sea area has seen big waves, strong winds, and rough seas, posing many potential safety risks to residents and tourists when participating in activities at sea, especially swimming.

On October 18 and 22, the Rescue Team of Nha Trang Bay Management Board discovered and promptly rescued two foreign tourists who drowned while swimming in the sea.
Nha Trang Bay Management Board said that currently, the Rescue Team has placed warning signs in areas with big waves and strong currents along Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong coastal park.
This unit requested the People's Committees of Nha Trang and Bac Nha Trang wards to strengthen propaganda work, reminding people and tourists not to swim in the sea when there is a danger warning; proactively inform on loudspeakers and local social networks about the weather and rough sea situation so that people and tourists can grasp it promptly.
In addition, businesses, accommodation facilities, and coastal hotels need to inform and advise guests about dangerous weather conditions and not to swim during rough seas and big waves.
Accommodation establishments are also asked to coordinate with rescue workers of Nha Trang Bay Management Board in informing, warning and reminding residents and tourists to comply with safety warnings in the beach area.
