In 2023 alone, Bac Giang has implemented and completed 100% of the approved national industrial promotion budget plan; including 6 projects, with a total implementation budget of 3,200 million VND. Thereby, supporting 11 industrial production enterprises, applying advanced machinery and equipment to produce products: Precision mechanical equipment, wood grain steel doors, roller conveyors, product packaging, cordyceps processing, canned agricultural products for export...

The Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang also presided over and coordinated with the People's Committees of districts, cities, and rural industrial establishments to successfully complete the provincial industrial promotion plan. From this funding source, the locality has supported the implementation of 9 projects on the content of supporting the construction of technical demonstration models, technology transfer, application of advanced machinery, and scientific and technical advances in production.

The effectiveness of industrial promotion work has been recognized, and the locality is also making efforts to implement projects towards the goal of completing 100% of the annual plan. However, according to a representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang, in practice, the locality is facing some difficulties.

Specifically, the time to develop the National Industrial Promotion Funding Plan for 2024 must be completed and approved in 2023, as a basis for developing national industrial promotion projects, based on reports, production development plans, machinery and equipment quotations, etc. provided by rural industrial establishments. Therefore, after being approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and assigned by the local Department of Industry and Trade, some group projects to support the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production still have to propose to adjust the total investment cost, the name of machinery and equipment proposed for support, technical specifications of machinery and equipment, etc.

There are few organizations and individuals participating in developing rural industrial production in mountainous districts with difficult socio-economic conditions, so the number of industrial promotion projects implemented in the area is not much, even though these are priority areas of the industrial promotion program.

Faced with this situation, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang has developed solutions to complete 100% of the industrial promotion plan. From there, it contributes to accelerating the growth rate of the industrial sector in particular and the local economy in general.

Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to promote professional training and disseminate new regulations related to industrial promotion work to improve the quality of civil servants, public employees and workers doing industrial promotion work.

Strengthen coordination with People's Committees of districts, cities, socio-political organizations and competent authorities to strengthen management, inspection and supervision during the implementation of projects and accept results after completion.

In particular, the Department of Industry and Trade directed functional units to closely follow and coordinate with beneficiary units to speed up the implementation of projects, promptly accept, hand over, and put into use, soon bringing efficiency to businesses, localities and society.

Timely propose to competent authorities to stop implementation, adjust and supplement to implement other projects for projects that do not meet the requirements of the signed support contract or have violations during the implementation process.
