The journey was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union with the participation of more than 25 officials from the City Youth Union and its affiliated branches. The activity commemorated the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ly Tu Trong (October 20).
Ms. Tran Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City, led the delegation.
On the morning of October 19th, the delegation visited and offered incense at the home of Hero of the People's Armed Forces Le Thi Bach Cat in Nghi Thuy ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province.
Later that afternoon, the delegation laid wreaths at Dong Loc Crossroads, offered incense and visited the Ly Tu Trong Memorial Area, and visited the family of the heroic martyr Ly Tu Trong ( Ha Tinh ).
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union presented four 50-inch televisions to Ly Tu Trong Primary School, the Ha Tinh Provincial Children's House, the Ly Tu Trong Memorial Area Management Board, and the Ly Tu Trong Vocational College.
Participating in the activities of the Central Youth Union, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union also donated a charitable house worth 70 million VND to people in difficult circumstances, along with 30 scholarships of 1 million VND each for disadvantaged children and teenagers in Ha Tinh province, and 20 scholarships of 1 million VND each for disadvantaged Youth Union and Association officials in Ha Tinh...
The total value of social welfare support provided during this trip exceeded 200 million VND.
