Many Hue University students were hospitalized after breakfast at the Center for National Defense and Security Education.

On the afternoon of September 11, the leaders of the University of Education (Hue University) confirmed that five students of the school who were studying the national defense and security education course at the National Defense and Security Education Center had to be hospitalized after breakfast that same day.

After breakfast, 5 students showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, fatigue, etc. and were taken to Huong Thuy Medical Center for treatment. One of the 5 students was transferred to a higher level hospital due to more complicated symptoms. These students are attending boarding school at the National Defense and Security Education Center.

Ms. Do Thi Xuan Dung, Vice President of Hue University, said: "We have sent staff to visit and check on the health status of the students. In the immediate future, the safety of students must be put first. Hue University will work with the Center for National Defense and Security Education to clarify the cause of the incident."

According to the school, the students' accommodation and living arrangements during their time studying at the center are managed by the unit's logistics department, similar to a military environment.
