Special dishes of Top Chef Vietnam 2023 Champion Dinh Son Truc.
For the main course, Tuong Vi used her expertise in making broth to make Phan Thiet-style Quang noodles. For the final dish, the female chef made a comeback by daring to make a dessert from foie gras.
The breakthrough in this dish conquered the taste of judge Valentin: "I like chef Vi's menu the most. When eating Quang noodles, I see Vi's creativity, dexterity, sophistication and modernity."
Judge Luke Nguyen shared: "If we talk about Truc's menu, you have really brought Vietnamese ingredients and agricultural products into your menu. To me, you are a good presenter, a talented storyteller.
You elevate Vietnamese cuisine in a very gentle way by using Italian truffles, by using salmon caviar in a very gentle, very harmonious way. You balance them very well."
Dinh Son Truc won convincingly in Top Chef Vietnam season 3
Ngoc Tam brings a set of eye-catching appetizers with four dishes with impressive names: Youth, Shine, Harvest, Peace. With the same idea of expressing family reunion as Dinh Son Truc, Ngoc Tam chooses banh chung as the main dish for this menu.
The female chef skillfully recreated a banh chung in the shape of the Vietnamese flag, next to a Nha Trang lobster symbolizing the abundant seafood resources with our country's long coastline. Although the presentation was pleasing to the eye and the story was meaningful, Ngoc Tam's dish failed to win over the judges' taste buds because the lobster was "quite bland".
Finally, the final result named Chef Dinh Son Truc as the champion of season 3, following Chef Vo Thanh Vuong in continuing the mission of leaving Vietnam's mark on the world culinary map. Chef Truc received a prize worth 300 million VND and a scholarship to study in France from sponsor Andros Asia.
Chef Tuong Vi became 1st runner-up with a prize of 200 million VND and Chef Ngoc Tam became 2nd runner-up with a prize of 100 million VND.
