AI empowers lectures.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually becoming a useful tool in the field of education.

The 2018 general education curriculum, with its goal of developing students' qualities and competencies, requires teachers to design diverse teaching activities. Thanks to AI applications and software, the process of preparing electronic lesson plans is no longer as arduous for teachers.

Using popular Large Language Models (LLM) chatbot applications like Chat GPT, Google Gemini will generate specific lesson ideas. Teachers simply need to input commands with a brief description of their lessons, and the chatbots will provide a very detailed outline with many interesting suggestions for activities ranging from introduction and knowledge formation to practice and application.

In particular, the ideas for warm-up activities provided by these applications have the potential to spark a high level of interest in students, as they draw inspiration from highly practical problems.

After creating a detailed outline for their lesson, teachers can further refine it using popular digital lesson planning applications such as Canva, Slidesgo, and Gamma. These websites provide teachers with ready-made design templates with vivid and engaging visual effects, making lesson planning much faster and more efficient than using the traditional, monotonous PowerPoint tool.

Moreover, with the support of AI, teachers can also build mind maps to summarize knowledge or use chatbots to "compose" short poems or rhymes to make difficult-to-remember formulas and theorems easier to understand and learn.

In particular, if teachers take the time to learn how to use AI-powered video creation software, they can create lively and visually engaging videos of chemistry, physics, and biology experiments to illustrate theoretical concepts that are difficult to visualize.

In addition to assisting teachers in lesson planning, AI also makes the process of testing and evaluating easier for teachers.

For social science subjects, chatbot applications can suggest essay topics based on a synthesis of current events and debate themes for students.

As for natural science subjects, creating multiple-choice test sets with dozens of questions and different test codes has become easier with the help of AI for question generation and "question shuffling." Of course, these activities require close monitoring and supervision from teachers to avoid mistakes, especially in ensuring the security of the test papers.

Furthermore, AI also provides tools to combat plagiarism – another negative aspect brought about by AI itself. To limit learners' dependence on AI applications and their perception of AI products as their own achievements, anti-plagiarism software has emerged with increasingly sophisticated copy detection capabilities. Examples include software like Dolt, Grammarly, and Copyleaks.

In particular, Turnitin software has recently been updated to include features for detecting AI-generated content, not just plagiarism. These software programs help lecturers and teachers maintain fairness and integrity in the educational environment.

When it comes to document drafting, chatbots only require entering the necessary information to assist in writing administrative documents with a fairly standardized structure. With just quick edits, these documents can be used in management.

To adapt to new trends, teachers need to constantly learn to free themselves from outdated ways of thinking and working, in order to improve the quality of teaching and provide learners with vivid learning experiences.
