On the evening of June 16, the People's Committee of Hue City held a press meeting; awarded the 6th Hai Trieu Press Award, 2025 and the Gala Program "Journalists with their homeland," on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that as a part of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, the Hue City press has constantly grown and is always a pioneering force, a bridge between the government and the people; promptly reflecting social life, contributing to policy adjustment and improving management efficiency.

The press has actively promoted the image of Hue - a heritage city, spreading cultural values ​​to promote tourism and preserve cultural identity. In the process of digital transformation, the press continues to innovate and accompany the city to build a civilized, modern and sustainably developed Hue.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh hopes that press agencies, reporters, and journalists, with all their love for Hue, will share and join hands with the city to build Hue into a city of sustainable development, safety, peace, friendliness, happiness, and imbued with national cultural identity.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the 6th Hai Trieu Press Awards presented awards to 39 outstanding works, with 3 First prizes, 8 Second prizes, 12 Third prizes and 16 Encouragement prizes. Of which, 3 First prizes went to the work “Journey of Time - Thai Hoa Palace” by the group of authors Nguyen Thi Diem My, Dang Dai Dinh, Nguyen Van Thinh, Nguyen Phuoc Hanh, Luong Hien Duyen (Hue Radio and Television Station); the work “Following the footsteps of Hai Trieu Journalist” by author Le Hoang Son (Thanh Nien Newspaper); the work “Protecting Tam Giang, saving lives” by the group of authors Nguyen Khanh-Hoang Hai Trieu-Le Xuan Tho (Hue Today Newspaper).

Vietnam News Agency has the work "Truc Chi - unique paper art of Vietnamese people" by the group of authors Vu Huu Sinh - Pham Thi Hau won the second prize; 3 third prizes went to the works "Train connecting Central heritage" by author Tran Thanh Giang; "Lotus leaf hat, unique product of Hue" by author Bui Cuong Quyet; "Hue heritage: From international title to development of cultural industry" by the group of authors Do Van Truong - Nguyen Thi Tuong Vi - Mai Thi Huyen Trang.

In 2025, the Organizing Committee received more than 100 entries, of which 74 were selected for the final round. Many of these entries were elaborately produced over 3 to 5 issues, creating a diversity of topics and ways of expression, thereby affirming that the Hai Trieu Journalism Award is increasingly spreading not only locally but also nationwide.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Hai Trieu Journalism Awards have increased in quantity and quality. The topics are diverse, with many journalistic perspectives, some outstanding works, and high journalistic quality. In particular, the works that entered the final round are all typical works in terms of content and form of expression; have good social impact, are discoverable, critical, commendable and constructive; the number of serial works accounts for a high proportion with topics that are invested in elaborately and systematically, under the leadership and direction of press agencies; demonstrating the creative working spirit and dedication of journalists./.
