Use sunglasses
Sunglasses not only protect the eyes from UV rays from the sun, but also help drivers see the road more comfortably while driving towards the sun. Drivers are advised to use reputable sunglasses with high UV protection, avoiding poor quality sunglasses because they will harm eye health.
Keep a safe distance
When sunlight shines directly into the eyes, it will cause glare, making the driver's reflexes slower. Therefore, in case your eyes are directly affected by sunlight, you need to keep a greater distance than usual to be able to handle unexpected situations.
Choose when to drive
Sun protection measures cannot protect the driver's eyes and skin 100%. Therefore, if possible, you should avoid driving during the strongest sunlight, between 8am and 3pm.
Use the sun visor available on the car
Modern cars are always equipped with standard sun visors in front of the driver and passenger seats. Opening this visor down combined with the black dot strip on the upper corner of the front windshield helps the people sitting in the 2 front seats greatly reduce the range of sunlight that can directly shine on the car, especially reducing more than 80% of the impact of direct sunlight on the eyes.
Heat insulation film
Heat-insulating film helps drivers reduce glare, especially when the car is facing the sun or when driving at night, encountering headlights from oncoming vehicles. From there, it helps increase the driver's ability to observe and drive safely.
Rest if your face feels injured.
If the sun begins to hurt your eyes or interfere with your ability to drive, do not attempt to drive to your destination. Instead, pull over to a safe place and rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes to allow your eyes to return to normal .
Wear a baseball cap
Baseball caps will help limit the sunlight shining directly into the eyes quite a lot. This is applied by many long-distance drivers when driving in the early morning or late afternoon, two times when the driver will often receive full sunlight from the sun.
