The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the project to plant 15 million trees in Phu Yen province in the period of 2021-2025 is one of the key tasks of the industry. Every year, this unit advises the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document directing the response to the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho and strengthen the work of protecting and developing forests.

Sectors and localities also called on and mobilized organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support funding and seedlings to implement the project. Organizations, households and individuals have actively participated in contributing funding, seedlings and labor to plant trees and forests according to the approved project.

Up to this point, the project of planting 15 million trees in Phu Yen province has been completed. Up to now, the whole province has planted more than 17.9 million trees, reaching 120% of the plan.

Currently, the authorities have planted 17 hectares and are bidding for the remaining 33 hectares in the O Loan lagoon area. According to the reporter's records, the trees have a good growth rate. Many people are waiting for the famous seafood of O Loan lagoon, such as: blood cockles, anchovies, and cobia... to return, creating livelihoods for people in the area to develop the economy in the direction of managing, protecting and developing sustainable coastal mangrove forests, responding to climate change.

3. Complete approval of the Project on developing medicinal plants on forestry land in Phu Yen province for the period 2023-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Currently, the Provincial Forest Protection Department is reviewing and advising on the contents of the project; at the same time, waiting for the Government to issue a guiding decree for implementation. Recently, some forest owners have planted and tested medicinal plant models on managed forest areas, as a basis for evaluation and replication to increase land use value.
