The Le Huu clan's scholarship committee in Quang Phu ward awarded prizes to students who achieved outstanding results in the 2024-2025 school year.
Settling in Luu Ve commune since the 16th century, the Bui Sy family has long established itself as a lineage with a tradition of unity, mutual support, and especially a tradition of academic excellence and a studious spirit across generations. In every era and generation, the Bui Sy family has produced outstanding individuals. A prime example is General Bui Sy Lam, the family's founder, a man of both military and literary prowess who held many high-ranking positions in the court during the Later Le Dynasty. His name is recorded in national history and commemorated on stone tablets for generations to come. Besides General Bui Sy Lam, the family also boasts 12 other descendants whose names are inscribed on stone tablets, a source of pride for the studious descendants of the past.
Inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of their ancestors, and continuously developing the science and technology movement within the clan, the Bui Sy clan established an Education Promotion Committee (EPC) early on. Its purpose was to encourage and support the education of its members. In particular, to enhance the effectiveness of its EPC activities, the Bui Sy clan's EPC has developed operational regulations and promoted the clan's tradition of valuing education, as well as the policies and guidelines of the local Party committee, government, and local education promotion association. Accordingly, since its establishment in 1997, the EPC has carried out many practical activities to motivate its descendants to study and train. As a result, for decades, no Bui Sy clan member has dropped out of school, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds have received timely support.
Not only the Bui Sy clan, but also many other clans in the province have actively encouraged their families and descendants to participate in building learning clans according to Decision No. 281/QD-TTg and Decision No. 387/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , with many proud achievements, such as: the Trinh Van clan, Yen Dinh village, Dinh Tan commune; the Le Huu clan, Phu Quy street, Quang Phu ward; the Nguyen Hong clan, Doan Quyet village, Thieu Hoa commune; the Nguyen Phuc clan, Van Loc commune; the Le Huy clan, Dong Son ward...
With the motto "using success to nurture success," the Le Huu clan in Quang Phu ward has undertaken practical activities demonstrating its concern for the education of its children and grandchildren. However, since 2020, when the clan's Education Promotion Committee was restructured, the clan's education promotion activities have truly become more organized and standardized, with specific and clear regulations that have been supported by all households. In particular, to encourage, motivate, and promptly reward the clan's children and grandchildren who achieve high academic results, the establishment of an education promotion fund has been a priority for the clan's Education Promotion Committee. After five years of restructuring the Committee and soliciting donations from individuals and families, the Le Huu clan's education promotion fund has now reached over 50 million VND. From this fund, every year, before the start of the new school year, the clan's Education Promotion Committee organizes award ceremonies for students who have achieved academic success. According to representatives of the Le Huu clan's Education Promotion Board, thanks to timely encouragement and support, the clan's tradition of academic excellence has always been maintained and is increasingly developing. Evidence shows that while in previous years only 20% of the children receiving awards from the clan's Education Promotion Board were excellent students, this number has increased to over 60% in the last three years. Notably, from having no students with provincial-level academic excellence awards, by the 2024-2025 school year, there were two students who achieved the title of excellent student at the provincial level...
According to the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, each family clan promoting learning, as well as the achievements in building learning clans in localities, are driving the continuous development of the learning movement and the building of a learning society in the province. To date, the entire province has 10,374 family clans registered to build learning clans, and 9,537 have been recognized as learning clans. These learning clans have all established management boards and operate effectively and systematically, creating favorable conditions for children of school age to attend school and to be cared for and educated to become good children and excellent students. In particular, each learning clan has linked the movement to build learning clans with the movements "All people unite to build a cultured life," "Building new rural areas," and "Building civilized cities"... Through this, they are gradually improving cultural life and working together to successfully achieve the socio -economic development goals of the locality.
