The management, direction and operation of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (National Target Program 1719) in Tra Vinh province has always been promoted. Since then, the projects under the program have always achieved good results, contributing to the economic and social development of ethnic minority areas.
Efforts to promote the goals, tasks, contents and solutions of the National Target Program 1719

Strengthening the management, direction and operation of the National Target Program 1719
Mr. Thach Mu Ni - Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Tra Vinh province said that when implementing the National Target Program 1719, the province closely followed the documents of the Central Government, issued resolutions of the People's Council, decisions of the People's Committee, directed and assigned specific responsibilities to relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities, even decentralizing deeply to the commune level to organize implementation as well as management.

Mr. Mu Ni commented that the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee always monitor to urge and inspect. Therefore, the effectiveness of the program is always high. Particularly for the Ethnic Committee, many training courses have been opened to improve the capacity of officials of agencies to increase their understanding of the program. From there, officials in various places better understand the needs and resources of the program to effectively implement it in their localities. Like the Ethnic Committee, other departments and branches in the province have participated in implementing the program very well.
According to Mr. Mu Ni, the support projects in the National Target Program 1719 are all implemented based on the specific needs of the people in each locality, especially based on the available conditions for support, in a flexible manner, not stereotyped or rigid. Only then will the effectiveness be high.

Specifically, the Ao Ba Om relic site has many visitors, based on this condition, the province supports people to learn Ro Bam dance and traditional music, which can both improve tourism and help preserve ethnic culture. Similarly, the Khmer Cultural Tourism Village still retains almost the original, pristine living habits of the Khmer people, so the province guides people to promote their inherent values and provides professional support.
It is known that for Project 1 "Solving the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water" of the Program, Tra Vinh had difficulty finding land for production (difficult to find suitable land area, high land price but little capital,...) for ethnic minorities, so it flexibly switched to supporting job conversion...
With the efforts of local functional sectors, the contents and tasks related to the National Target Program 1719 have always been focused on and gradually completed as expected, according to the set plan. From there, it helps to concretize the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Resolution of the 11th Tra Vinh Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
