This morning, 96,325 candidates will be present at the exam site to complete registration procedures, learn about exam regulations, and check personal information before officially taking the 10th grade exam tomorrow.
This year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training arranged 158 10th grade exam sites (147 regular exam sites and 11 specialized exam sites) with 4,102 exam rooms and mobilized 12,306 officers, teachers, and employees with the support of the police and medical forces to participate in organizing the exam.
TEST ORIENTATION FOR DEVELOPING THINKING ABILITY
Mr. Vo Thien Cang, Head of the Examination and Quality Control Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, informed that according to regulations, candidates are only allowed to bring into the examination room pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators without text editing functions, and no memory cards. For each exam session, candidates must be present at the 10th grade examination room at the specified time, follow the instructions of the examination board and the instructions of the invigilators. The Department of Education and Training noted that candidates who are present at the examination site gate more than 15 minutes late after the test time signal are given will not be allowed to take the exam.

According to the leaders of the Department of Education and Training, this year's 10th grade entrance exam continues to be implemented in the direction of developing thinking and capacity, not rote learning. The content and requirements of the exam are closely linked to reality, suitable for the psychology of students, and evoke many emotions for candidates when taking the exam.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND AFTER TAKING GRADE 10 EXAM
After TS completed the 10th grade entrance exam on the afternoon of June 7, the next morning (June 8), the Department of Education and Training will start marking the exam. Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the Department mobilized about 2,500 officials and teachers to participate in this work. Of these, 700 people participated in the marking committee and 1,835 officials and teachers participated in marking the exam.
In each examination, marking and re-examination area, items must be arranged to store and preserve information receiving and transmitting equipment of those performing the task. These items must be sealed and monitored by the police. It is absolutely forbidden to bring information receiving and transmitting equipment, copying documents, private papers, erasers, pencils and other types of pens not specified by the examination boards into and out of the examination marking area.

The Department of Education and Training informed that the examination board agreed on the grading scale and answers according to regulations. Each exam is graded in two independent rounds by two examiners from two different examination groups. The exam is graded on a 10-point scale, and the odd points of the total score are rounded to two decimal places.
The marking is expected to be completed by the afternoon of June 19 and the Department of Education and Training will announce the exam results of all candidates taking the 10th grade exam on June 20.
After knowing the 10th grade exam scores, students who want to have their exam papers reviewed should submit a request for review to the middle school where they studied in 9th grade from June 21 to 24. The review results will be announced on June 30.
The benchmark scores for grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year will be announced at different time points depending on the different school and class models. It is expected that the Department of Education and Training will announce the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission to specialized and integrated schools and classes on June 24. Candidates admitted to specialized high schools, high schools that organize integrated English programs and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the school they were admitted to from June 25 to before 4:00 p.m. on June 29.
After the above time, if the candidate does not submit the admission application, the school will remove the candidate's name from the admission list. As for the candidates who are admitted after the review results are available, they will submit their admission application to the school, specialized and integrated classes on July 5.
On July 10, the Department announced the admission scores and the list of students admitted to regular grade 10 of public schools. Students admitted to the high school they were admitted to must submit their application from July 11 to August 1. After 4:00 p.m. on August 1, if they do not submit their application, the school will remove their name from the list of admitted students. The Department of Education and Training noted that students who are admitted to any of their wishes will study at that school and will not accept any requests to change their wishes.

Can Tho and Hau Giang recruit about 70% of students to public grade 10
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year in Can Tho City will take place on June 5 and 6. This year, Can Tho has 14,092 candidates registered for the exam.
Mr. Tran Thanh Binh, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho, said that the locality has mobilized 1,724 managers, teachers, officers and more than 250 employees, security guards and police to work at 28 examination councils in the area. According to the plan, for public high schools in the districts, the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City will only recruit 66 - 71% of students who have graduated from junior high school within the prescribed age.
In Hau Giang, 8,831 candidates will take the 10th grade entrance exam on June 9 and 10. Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang, Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that the new point of this year's exam is 100% digitalization, from the time candidates register for the exam until they receive the exam results, all will be done through the province's online public service portal. The 10th grade entrance exam is applied to all high schools in Hau Giang. The only case is Him Lam Boarding Ethnic High School (Chau Thanh A District) which applies both forms: entrance exam (2 Kinh ethnic classes) and selection (2 ethnic minority classes). The Hau Giang Department of Education and Training sets a target of recruiting 70% of junior high school and continuing education students to study at high schools in the province, with the number not exceeding 45 students/class.

Da Nang students take 10th grade exam from June 6
On June 4, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City announced that the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year will take place over 3 days (from June 6 to 8).
