Ancient star fruit tree: "Treasure" of ornamental plants for the countryside
At the Lam Son Square Tet flower market ( Thanh Hoa City), a 4m tall ancient star fruit tree caused a stir when it was offered for sale for 2.2 billion VND.
The star fruit tree has been cared for by Mr. Thien Phu (from Vinh Long ) for 20 years. "When I bought it, the tree was rough and had a beautiful root system. However, to have the perfect shape like now, I had to shape it myself and invest a lot of time," Mr. Phu shared.

This is also a valuable work of Mr. Nguyen The Tung at Street 379 (Van Giang, Hung Yen ).
This egg tree is a four-season egg tree, bearing fruit all year round. Almost any time of the year, you can see all the green and ripe fruits, buds, flowers, leaves and shoots of the tree.

"From the first time I saw this eggplant tree about 7 years ago, I was immediately attracted by its crooked branches and majestic posture, so I tried every way to own it," said Mr. Tung.
It is known that this is not the first time the eggplant tree has appeared in public. Mr. Tung has brought the tree to several exhibitions, and many "sky-high" prices have been offered by tree collectors, but Mr. Tung has not sold it.
"Someone offered the highest price of 800 million VND but I didn't sell. I would only consider it if it cost at least a billion VND," said Mr. Tung.

"Co Xu Ky My" apricot tree: Symbol of ornamental plants for Tet At Ty 2025
This apricot tree belongs to Mr. Dinh Van Trong (Rach Gia City, Kien Giang Province), currently located at Phu Cuong roundabout in Phu Cuong urban area, Rach Gia City.
According to records, the "Co ru ky my" apricot tree has a canopy of 5.5 meters wide, about 6 meters high, and is over 100 years old. The tree has a straight shape, a rough trunk, flowing all over, creating a unique and impressive beauty.
This special feature helped the apricot tree be recognized by the Vietnam Record Council as a unique ancient ornamental apricot tree in Vietnam on September 20, 2024.
To ensure the safety of the precious apricot tree, Mr. Dinh Van Trong has built a protective fence around it and arranged security forces to be on duty 24/7 at the display area.

This apricot tree was bought by Mr. Trong from Vinh Long province and is currently for sale at a price of 12.9 billion VND. "Three years ago, this apricot tree could have been sold for more than 15 billion VND. Currently, I am displaying it at Phu Cuong roundabout for everyone to admire and looking for buyers if the price is reasonable," Mr. Trong shared.
It is known that the apricot tree not only has great material value but is also the pride of the traditional art of bonsai.
Many bonsai enthusiasts in Kien Giang and neighboring provinces have come to visit and admire the rare beauty of this apricot tree.
"Super bonsai" is unique, hard to find a second one
No flowers, no fruit, the tree pot is not gilded, but the owner of the tree in Hung Yen affirms that 2 billion VND still cannot buy this tree.
Mr. Nguyen Tung said he has a passion for large trees with beautiful shapes but natural (not edited by human hands).
"This is a unique fig tree, you certainly won't be able to find a second tree like it. Its most special feature is its shape, which was formed very naturally but is indescribably beautiful. I have brought it to several exhibitions. Someone who loves the tree offered me 1 billion VND, someone even offered 2 billion VND, but I still can't sell it at that price," Mr. Tung introduced his "super tree".

Observing with the naked eye, one can see that this is a multi-year-old fig tree, about 3m high, with a canopy about 4m wide, but the entire tree still fits neatly in a not-too-large pot.
The roots are exposed on the surface of the pot, showing off the winding, curving curves that demonstrate the tree's longevity.
The straight trunk grows from a sturdy root system, covered with a gray-white bark. Up close it looks thorny and rough, but from a distance it looks smooth and pleasing to the eye.
Mr. Tung said that the entire arm (large branch) was formed completely naturally, without any human intervention. After owning the tree, he only trimmed and created small branches so as not to destroy its natural appearance.
Orchid pot "Golden Dragon Orchid Jade": The beauty of golden bonsai
At the flower market opposite My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi), a pot of yellow phalaenopsis orchid named "Golden Dragon Orchid" has become the center of attention. According to Nguoi Dua Tin, the orchid pot is nearly 6m high, has a canopy of 2m, and is being sold for 3.868 billion VND.
A pot of "Golden Dragon and Jade Orchid" orchids over 3 meters high is being displayed at an orchid shop opposite My Dinh Stadium (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi).
This orchid pot is made from more than 2,800 yellow Phalaenopsis orchid branches transported from Da Lat. The giant pot weighs more than 1 ton, is carved with the image of 9 dragons and plated with 24K gold. This creates a sparkling and luxurious masterpiece.
Mr. Hoang Van Nghiep, owner of the work "Golden Dragon and Jade Orchid", said that he chose 2,868 of the most beautiful yellow Phalaenopsis orchids to create the largest work on the 2025 Tet flower market. The number and color of the flower pots symbolize luck and fortune.
Each bonsai on this list is not only a work of art but also a crystallization of nature and the hands of the artisan. They are a reminder that true value lies not in the number, but in the story and soul within each work.
