Which cases are eligible for admission to grade 1 and grade 6 outside the school district in Tan Phu district?

The Department of Education and Training of Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City has just announced the enrollment plan for 5-year-old kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 6 for the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the enrollment plan for 5-year-old kindergarten, 1st and 6th grade in the 2025-2026 school year of Tan Phu district, there will be two priority enrollment groups.

Subject 1: 5-year-old children will continue to study at the facility they have studied to ensure their psychological stability and development. For children who have not yet attended preschool, schools will give priority to enrolling children whose current residence is in Tan Phu district.

Admission to grades 1 and 6 will also give priority to students whose current residence is in Tan Phu district.

Subject 2: Students who wish to study in Tan Phu but reside outside Tan Phu district, schools will only consider when they are still able to accept cases such as students who have completed preschool or primary school in Tan Phu; students whose father or mother works at agencies, organizations, and businesses in Tan Phu; students whose current residence according to VNeID is in an area bordering Tan Phu; students in special cases with legitimate reasons.

In which, Nhieu Loc Kindergarten, Tan Son Nhi Primary School, and Dang Tran Con Secondary School will enroll students according to the type of school with high-quality, advancededucational content, regional and international integration.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Tan Phu district has 5 primary schools enrolling in integrated English 1st grade (in addition to other foreign language classes): Au Co, Ho Van Cuong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tan Huong, Tan Son Nhi.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Tan Phu district has 3 middle schools enrolling in integrated English 6th grade (in addition to other foreign language classes): Dang Tran Con, Hoang Dieu, and Le Anh Xuan.

Admission timelines for grades 1 and 6

From May 24 to 29: The Department of Education and Training organizes for parents to register for admission to grades 1 and 6 in schools implementing high-quality, advanced, regionally and internationally integrated programs.

From May 30 to June 4: The Department of Education and Training reviews and announces the results of admission to advanced schools. At the same time, synchronizes data to the city's primary school admissions page.

From June 5 to 8: Advanced schools organize to receive applications and guide parents to confirm online at the city's admissions page.

From June 9 to 13: The Department of Education and Training will allocate students to the remaining primary and secondary schools.

From June 14 to 20: Parents confirm to submit applications to the remaining high schools according to data updated by the Department of Education and Training on the city's admissions page.

During this time, parents can also register as subject 2 or private school.

From June 21 to 25: The Department of Education and Training will consider students who registered for category 2 and update data on the city's enrollment page.

From June 25 to 29: Parents access the primary school admission system to view the results of group 2 and confirm admission. Schools organize to receive candidates admitted to group 2.
