Below are items that candidates are not allowed to bring into the 2025 high school graduation exam room to avoid violating exam regulations.

In just a few days, the 2025 high school graduation exam will take place. This is the first year that students will take the exam according to the new generaleducation program, with many innovations in organization, exam structure, subjects and assessment methods.

According to regulations, to serve the exam process, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room the following: Pens, rulers, pencils, erasers, set squares, graphing rulers, drawing tools, handheld calculators without text editing function, and no memory card.

Prohibited from bringing into the exam room: Carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages, weapons and explosives, flammable substances, documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the exam.

Notably, from the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates will not be allowed to bring Atlases into the exam room. Regarding this new regulation, a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that 2025 is the first year that candidates studying the 2018 general education program will take the high school graduation exam. The 2018 general education program has many sets of books, so there will also be many different types of Geography Atlases.

Although candidates are instructed on how to use the Geography Atlas during their studies, the 2025 high school graduation exam will not have questions about using the Geography Atlas, so candidates are not allowed to bring the Geography Atlas into the exam room.

However, candidates studying the 2006 general education program (who have not graduated from high school since 2024 or earlier) taking the 2025 high school graduation exam are still allowed to bring an Atlas into the exam room during the Geography exam. The exam for students studying the 2006 general education program is developed separately and has questions using the Atlas.

High school graduation exam schedule 2025.

This year's high school graduation exam will take place over two days, June 26-27. According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam is 1,165,289; an increase of 93,894 registrations compared to last year (in 2024, the total number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam is 1,071,395).

Of which, 1,122,507 grade 12 candidates took the exam according to the 2018 general education program (accounting for 96.33%), 42,782 independent candidates (accounting for 3.67%).

Candidates taking the graduation exam for the first time under the new general education program must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, candidates must choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Law, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).

Candidates taking the old program (2006 program) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two exams: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).

High school graduation exam scores for 2025 were announced on July 16.
