Ninh Thuan: Bringing OCOP products and unique cuisine to tourists

Ninh Thuan Culture, Sports, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025 is an opportunity to promote OCOP products, specialty products and unique local culinary quintessence to tourists.

Taking place from April 30 to May 4, at April 16 Square, Phan Rang-Thap Cham city, "Ninh Thuan Culture, Sports , Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025" is becoming an attractive destination, attracting a large number of tourists and locals.

Here, visitors have the opportunity to learn about and shop for OCOP products and enjoy the culinary quintessence of the locality and regions.

The event gathered 30 booths displaying, introducing and selling tourism products and services along with OCOP products and typical products of Ninh Thuan.

Visitors can find a variety of typical agricultural products such as grapes, apples, green asparagus, melons, to products processed from aloe vera, salt, traditional anchovy fish sauce, ginseng tea, ginseng herbal drinks, seaweed, along with handicraft products, fine arts... of businesses and production facilities in Ninh Thuan and other provinces and cities.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang, Director of Thai Thuan-Ninh Thuan Agricultural Products Production and Trading Company Limited (Nhon Son Commune, Ninh Son District) said that participating in the exhibition, the Company has 20 product items, including 12 grape and apple products in the form of fresh fruit and processed products that have been recognized by the province as 3-4 star OCOP products.

“The Company’s goal is to seek opportunities to connect with customers, expand the market and meet partners. In particular, in the context of Ninh Thuan’s upcoming merger with Khanh Hoa, we are making even more efforts so that Ninh Thuan’s OCOP products in general and the Company’s products in particular can reach a larger market,” said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang.

Meanwhile, the food court with 32 stalls offers visitors a journey to discover the unique culinary flavors of Ninh Thuan. Specialties such as goat meat, lamb, monitor lizard, banh can, banh xeo, seafood, fish cake noodle soup... are prepared and presented delicately by professional chefs, attracting thousands of visitors and diners every day.

Experiencing the vibrant culinary area, Ms. Dang Ha My, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, expressed her special excitement about banh xeo. Ms. Ha My shared that banh xeo is found in the Central and Western regions, especially this dish is famous in Ninh Thuan, originating from the Cham people.

Each region has its own variations in size or crispiness and softness. With Phan Rang pancakes, the vegetables served with them are very fresh and delicious, the crust is crispy. Another plus is that there are fish sauces and fermented fish sauces for customers to choose from. Having enjoyed this delicious dish, I will recommend friends and relatives to try this dish once when coming to Ninh Thuan.


Mr. Alain Nguyen, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association and Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Province Chefs Association, said that professional chefs prepared 16 typical dishes of Ninh Thuan, including dishes made from lamb, goat, chicken, seafood, sand lizards, banh can, banh xeo, etc.

In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Chefs Association accompanies Ninh Thuan province to introduce the brand "Banh xeo thousand years" to tourists with the quintessence of cuisine from the processing method, ingredients, using cake molds from Bau Truc Cham village pottery to bring a different flavor, local herbs, dipping sauces, and unique culinary culture stories of Ninh Thuan land.

Sharing about the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province emphasized: "Ninh Thuan Culture, Sports, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025" is an important occasion to promote OCOP products, typical products and the unique culinary quintessence of the locality. This is also an opportunity for businesses to exchange, meet, introduce and effectively promote the image and tourism products of Ninh Thuan to domestic and foreign tourists, attracting economic sectors to invest in the province in the coming time."

The 2025 Culture, Sports, Tourism and Cuisine Week is a key activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Ninh Thuan Province (April 16, 1975 - April 16, 2025) and the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)./.
