Efforts to find girl swept away by flood in Quang Ninh

On July 23, information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Ninh Province Police said that the unit is trying to search for a 12-year-old girl swept away by floodwaters in Dien Xa Commune (Quang Ninh Province).

Previously, at 12:08 p.m. the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Ninh Province received a report that a girl was swept away by floodwaters at the spillway in Tien Hai village (Dien Xa commune).

Search forces used rafts to search the Tien Yen riverbed.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Department's leaders mobilized 10 officers and vehicles from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Tien Yen area to the scene, coordinating with the local forces of Dien Xa commune to carry out search and rescue work, under the direct command of Lieutenant Colonel Tieu Van Tien - Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police.

The new Dien Xa commune was established on the basis of merging Dien Xa, Ha Lau communes and part of Yen Than commune of the old Tien Yen district of Quang Ninh province.

The police divided into many teams to search along both sides of the river.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, this area has had heavy rain in recent days, the water level of Tien Yen River flowing through Dien Xa commune has risen and is flowing rapidly. The victim was identified as Tang Thi Th. (born in 2013, residing in Dien Xa commune).

Currently, the search and rescue team is organized into 4 teams, moving along both river banks and deploying nets in the downstream area where the incident occurred, determined to find the victims as soon as possible.
