Hon Chuoi Island, located in Hamlet 1, Song Doc Commune, is 18 nautical miles from the mainland. Currently, it is home to three units: Hon Chuoi Border Guard Post, Radar Station 615, and Lighthouse Station, as well as approximately 65 households. The island holds a strategically important position in terms of national defense and security, and the surrounding island cluster is also a marine conservation area.

After approximately two hours of travel from the Song Doc estuary, the VNPT team arrived at Hon Chuoi.

The gifts were transported to Hon Chuoi Border Guard Post via a pulley system.

Informing the delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quon, Deputy Political Officer of Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station, reported: The situation regarding border security and sovereignty in the maritime area, as well as political security and social order, remains stable. Units are strictly maintaining combat readiness, deploying three teams of officers and soldiers who have successfully assisted in three incidents involving three vessels and 21 crew members. In addition to border protection duties, units are also coordinating efforts to effectively educate and encourage fishermen to strictly comply with regulations on seafood exploitation, avoid violating foreign waters, and refrain from illegal resource exploitation.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Quon, Deputy Political Officer of Hon Chuoi Border Guard Station, provided information on various aspects of work and the lives of the people on the island.
