Every time a Korean singer or actor comes to Vietnam, the fear of crazy fans (or idol mania) is warned and reminded at the highest level.

Tickets for Blackpink 's two shows at My Dinh National Stadium are set to go on sale on July 7.
Not to mention the wave of ticket-snatching and ticket-holding that is causing chaos on social networks before the opening sale, another important story being discussed is the crazy fan syndrome and the possibility of a stampede of idol-mania that could happen at My Dinh on the evening of July 29-30.
Idol mania
When Korean idol singers began to flock to Vietnam to expand their Kpop promotion market, they themselves were "shocked" by the level of idol craze of many Vietnamese audiences.
In 2015, more than 40 Korean newspapers reported that T-ara member Jiyeon had her hair pulled by a crowd at Tan Son Nhat airport, as soon as she landed.
Before that, there was the image of hundreds of spectators surrounding the airport screaming and calling the names of the band members. In 2012, during another business trip of T-ara in Vietnam, the photo of a Vietnamese boy crying when seeing this band was spread all over social networks.
Along with T-ara, many Korean stars were “stunned” when they were welcomed by crazy fans at the airport. Kim Joong Kook - a famous singer in Running Man - was once scratched and bruised by crazy Vietnamese fans. When he was in Hanoi to film for Running Man, Kim Joong Kook was pushed and jostled by fans just to have a chance to touch him.
Until now, the story of a crazy fan kissing Bi Rain's chair is still passed down as a typical example of fans' boundless love for their idols.

The media and sociologists were once in a heated debate over the image of hundreds of crazy fans chasing after the Super Junior group’s car on the way to the airport to return home after a concert in Hanoi in March 2012. Accordingly, the group of crazy fans chased the car on the highway while constantly screaming and calling out the names of their idols.
Many Korean singers and actors even had their cars blocked so that fans could see their idols up close.
Blackpink is at the peak of their career. The four beautiful and talented Kpop beauties have reached beyond national borders, creating their own brands in many areas around the world .
In terms of popularity, Blackpink has a certain gap when compared to Korean stars who have visited Vietnam. The admiration and enthusiasm for the group is being expressed through the trend of watching and holding tickets... bustling on social networks.
Many “Blackpink fan” groups have been established with thousands of members, they plan, hunt for the airport schedule and travel to welcome the 4 girls when they come to Vietnam. It will not be surprising if the image of hundreds of crazy fans gathering at the airport screaming, calling out names, hugging each other and crying when seeing Blackpink is posted all over social networks and media in the last days of July.
Security concerns for the show
Security during Blackpink's two shows at My Dinh Stadium must be a top priority and requires a thorough, strict plan.

Many obvious examples have been proven, the Super Junior band's concert "burned up" My Dinh Stadium in 2010. When the performance started, the stadium atmosphere was stable.
However, when Super Junior appeared, thousands of crazy fans tried to push and shove to get close to the stage area. Chaos broke out, the media reported, at least 40 fans fainted due to lack of oxygen and exhaustion from jostling.
Big Bang, at their peak, also had a memorable performance at Phu Tho Stadium (HCMC).
The show gathered thousands of spectators "exploding" with the music, and also many fans lost control, jostling and pushing each other to get closer to the stage and closer to their idols.
