On the morning of February 22, the Quang Ngai Provincial Association in Ba Ria - Vung Tau organized the Spring Meeting of At Ty 2025. Many people from Quang Ngai who are living, working and studying in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province attended.

HOME IN THE HEART

The reunion did not start until 9am, but very early, the people from Quang Ngai in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province were present to chat and confide in each other. Mr. Huynh Nho, from Duc Phong commune (Mo Duc), is 96 years old, but every time there is a meeting of fellow countrymen, he tries to attend, because the atmosphere of the meeting always evokes in him a very sacred feeling, very proud of the two words "Quang Ngai". "I am happy to see my fellow countrymen healthy, coming here to celebrate. Even though I have been away from home for decades, my homeland is always in my heart, Quang Ngai is always the most beautiful place in my heart," Mr. Nho shared.

The meeting is an opportunity for people to meet and share information with each other.

Although living far from their homeland, in the heart of every Quang Ngai child living and working in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, they always look back to their homeland and the development of their homeland.

Encompassing his warm and affectionate feelings with his fellow countrymen through each friendly greeting, Mr. Le Hung (80 years old), from Duc Loi commune (Mo Duc) said that he only returns to Quang Ngai occasionally because of his old age. Through the media, he also grasps information about his hometown, and he himself feels very happy because Quang Ngai is increasingly developing.

“In recent years, Quang Ngai has changed a lot, the lives of its people have been increasingly improved. From the city to the district, asphalt and concrete roads have been laid out… Quang Ngai today has created for itself a new position and strength, to firmly step on the path of construction and development. That is the result of the wise leadership of the provincial Party Committee,” Mr. Hung expressed.

According to preliminary statistics, there are currently more than 20,000 Quang Ngai people living, studying and working in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Among them, many people are successful in many fields, making positive contributions to their locality and their hometown Quang Ngai. There are many people who are key officials in Party agencies, authorities, provincial and district-level unions, departments and branches of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; many people are professors, doctors, engineers, doctors... working in many fields in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and other localities in the country, have made positive contributions to the locality where they live and work, making their homeland Quang Ngai famous.

The total product in the area (GRDP at comparable prices) reached more than 64 trillion VND, an average increase of 8.6%/year in the period 1989 - 2024, 18 times higher than in 1989; the scale of the economy at current prices by 2024 reached over 132 trillion VND, ranking 4th out of 14 provinces and cities in the North Central and Central Coast regions and 24th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

GRDP per capita at current prices in 2024 will reach 4,460 USD/person, ranking 2nd out of 14 provinces and cities in the North Central and Central Coast regions; ranking 17th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide; per capita income will increase over the years, exceeding 53.2 million VND/person by 2024. By the end of 2024, the whole province will have 103/148 communes meeting new rural standards; the whole province will have 2 districts (Nghia Hanh, Tu Nghia) and 3 districts that have completed the new rural tasks, and are completing the dossier for recognition...
