Ba Be farmers build new rural areas

BBK - Implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, members and farmers of Ba Be district actively responded, bringing about a new look for the countryside, and gradually improving all aspects of people's lives.

Having the opportunity to visit My Phuong, Yen Duong, Dia Linh communes... these days, on the concrete roads from the commune center to the villages, people use motorbikes to carry rice, paddy, fragrant green squash and many other agricultural products home with radiant faces.

According to Ms. Nong Thi Tuyen, Yen Duong commune, in recent years, with material support from the State, people have donated land and given up their working days to build roads, so traffic has become more and more convenient. Unlike before when they had to carry heavy loads for dozens of days, now after harvesting, people can "leisurely" bring their motorbikes down to the edge of the fields to transport agricultural products home.

Thanks to the active contributions of the people, up to now, the whole district has promoted the solidification of infrastructure in all communes and towns, basically meeting the needs of people's lives and production. People have proactively participated in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. By the end of 2022, the district has 4 communes meeting new rural standards, 01 commune is implementing to meet advanced new rural standards. The whole district has 15/15 communes with asphalt roads to the commune center, roads to the village center have been concreted in 163/179 villages and hamlets... Up to now, the whole district has achieved an average of 15 new rural criteria/commune, of which 4 communes have achieved 19 criteria. From 2020 to now, people have contributed more than 500 million VND, over 3,500 working days; Donated land to build public works in rural areas, repaired nearly 25km of roads, 14km of intra-field canals...

Many cultural houses of villages, groups and school yards are actively reinforced by local people.

Through the emulation movements, many models and typical examples of good production and business at all levels have emerged, contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality. Typical examples include: the model of raising bamboo rats combined with cultivation and service provision of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoan's family in Phuc Loc commune; the model of growing fruit trees of Mrs. Dam Thi Hien's family, Ha Hieu commune; the model of cultivation combined with livestock raising of Mr. Nguyen Van Ngu's family, Cao Thuong commune...

The district has gradually formed concentrated commodity production areas such as: Tea trees in My Phuong and Chu Huong communes; seedless persimmons in Quang Khe and Dong Phuc communes; cattle and buffalo fattening in Thuong Giao and Ha Hieu communes; fragrant green squash growing in Dia Linh and Yen Duong communes; vermicelli production in Yen Duong commune...

Mr. Luu Quoc Trung, Chairman of Ba Be District People's Committee, assessed: In recent years, farmers in the district have always been active and proactive in responding to the targets and goals of new rural construction. Many poor households, still facing many difficulties, are willing to contribute their labor and donate land to build roads and public works.
