Hot-tempered, how to control

Báo Thừa Thiên HuếBáo Thừa Thiên Huế01/06/2023

Hot-tempered people often express their behavior towards themselves, other people, animals, or household items.

In some cases, anger is a normal response to a threat. In others, it can be an unusual, unprovoked behavior or a reaction to something unpleasant. Anger can be verbal or physical, can be planned and goal-directed or impulsive, expressed directly or indirectly, overtly or covertly.

Many studies have shown that abnormal structural or chemical changes in the brain may play a role in the cause of hot temper; in addition, environment and genetics are also closely related.

Children often imitate the behavior of adults, gradually forming their own habits. Children who have been abused tend to show more hot-tempered behavior than children who are loved and have gentle caregivers. If they see adults with hot-tempered expressions in their faces, words, and actions, they are more likely to imitate them...

Hot temper can lead to many negative effects on yourself and those around you, such as: Difficulties in work, school, social environment and relationships; drug and alcohol abuse leading to overdose, poisoning; increased risk of injury; violations of the law and legal troubles. Temporary anger of yourself can hurt others through violence....

When anger strikes, take a deep breath, drink a glass of cool water, or go for a walk to calm down. Of course, the best thing to do is not to get angry or angry. Here are some ways to do this:

Practice yoga, meditate; practice positive thinking, look at events, phenomena and people from many different aspects and perspectives to make more complete and accurate judgments; make friends with gentle people; put yourself in the shoes of others to understand, sympathize and share with everyone; limit watching violent movies; exercise regularly; eat healthy foods: green vegetables, fruits; get enough sleep, limit exposure to blue light such as phone screens, especially before going to bed; try to manage your emotions well to make life more comfortable and meaningful; stay away from alcohol, drugs and stimulants that can cause loss of self-control; learn to listen to improve communication skills and create trust from people around you; learn to assert yourself, express your emotions calmly and directly without causing hostility or emotion; Consult books or seek help from a professional therapist to learn how to use anger management skills.
