My file is not automatically refunded, how to handle it?
Regarding the results of automatic personal income tax refunds for people on eTax Mobile, in a press release sent to the press yesterday afternoon, May 6, the Ministry of Finance said that from the time of implementing automatic personal tax refunds from April 4 to 24, 452,003 taxpayers submitted final tax declarations with requests for tax refunds.
Of which, 187,798 dossiers were eligible for automatic tax refund, accounting for 41.5% of the number of declarations requesting refund, with a total amount of VND 884.2 billion.
To date, the tax authority has created tax refund orders and sent them electronically to the State Treasury to pay tax refunds to taxpayers with a total of 138,499 tax refund orders, equivalent to VND 645.5 billion.
To get an automatic personal income tax refund, the tax industry encourages taxpayers to use the eTax Mobile and iCanhan application's final declaration function to submit tax refund applications.
Personal income tax refund dossiers must meet three conditions:
Condition 1: The taxpayer's declared information must match the data from the paying agency declared to the tax authority. The amount of tax requested for refund must not exceed the tax paid.
Taxpayers do not change the information on the suggested declaration. The citizen identification number is only associated with a single tax code.
Condition 2: The paying agency has paid personal income tax on behalf of the taxpayer.
Condition 3: Tax refund documents do not have any deductions due to natural disasters, fires, or serious illnesses.
If the application is valid and qualified, the system will automatically process and refund the tax within three working days.
In case it is determined that the tax refund dossier is not eligible and is not automatically refunded, the dossier will be transferred to the tax officer for processing.
