On the evening of May 6, at the Astana National Opera and Ballet Theater (Kazakhstan), the Vietnam - Kazakhstan friendship concert took place solemnly with the participation of 200 artists from the two countries.
This is a special art event during the State visit of General Secretary To Lam to Kazakhstan. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and his wives from both countries attended the concert. The overall script of the program was in charge of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Quang Dong.

Head of the Vietnamese artist delegation, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, said that the program was carefully prepared with the participation of leading names representing the scholarly music of the two countries.
The Vietnamese delegation has nearly 60 artists, the core of which are lecturers, artists and young talents from the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Among them, it is necessary to mention artists from the string section of the symphony orchestra such as: Meritorious Artist Trong Binh, Meritorious Artist Truong Son, Bui Ha Mien, Ngo Dang Khoa, Phan Duc...; or the brass section with Meritorious Artist Quoc Trung, Quoc Bao... Also participating in the delegation are 2 artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Opera and Ballet Theater: conductor Tran Nhat Minh and soprano Pham Khanh Ngoc.
In addition, the program also has the special participation of Meritorious Artist Bui Le Chi (mono bau), tenor Ninh Duc Hoang Long - soloist of the Hungarian National Opera House, and female harp artist Bao Tram - currently studying in Saint-Petersburg (Russia).
Among the artists of the Vietnamese delegation, there are two leaders of the Vietnam National Academy of Music: Deputy Director in charge - People's Artist Quoc Hung (bass) and Deputy Director - People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin). Notably, People's Artist Bui Cong Duy is also an Honorary Professor of the Kazakhstan National University of Arts, demonstrating the deep artistic connection between the two countries.
Kazakhstan mobilized a strong force of 110 artists to participate in the program, the core of which was the Orchestra (30 people) and Choir (80 people) of the Astana National Opera and Ballet Theater. The two representative solo artists were Meritorious Artist Oksana Davydenko (mezzo-soprano) and Meritorious Artist Talgat Musabaev (baritone).

In particular, the program features the participation of "international superstar" Dimash Qudaibergen - the pride of Kazakhstan. The male artist, born in 1994, is a world- famous singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a rare voice, possessing a wide range of 6 to 7 octaves and the ability to perform in 13 different languages.
At the concert, Meritorious Artist Bui Le Chi brought an emotional solo performance of the monochord with the work Dialogue by composer Do Hong Quan, along with the subtle harmony of the traditional orchestra.
People's Artist Quoc Hung, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, performed the song "My Homeland Vietnam " (composer Do Nhuan) through the arrangement for symphony orchestra by musician Tran Manh Hung.
Notably, in this performance, Meritorious Artist Bui Le Chi continued to stay on stage, bringing the traditional monochord to blend with the symphony orchestra, creating an emotional performance that left a strong impression on the audience.
People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, captivated listeners with his Violin Concerto by composer Felix Mendelssohn, affirming his status as a leading violinist in Vietnam.
In the final part of the program, "international superstar" Dimash Qudaibergen performed two works associated with his name, Stranger and Adai , and was warmly welcomed by the audience.
The highlight of the concert was the performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 - a masterpiece considered the "National Anthem of the Earth". The work was staged with the participation of 200 artists, including 4 outstanding soloists: Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, Meritorious Artist Oksana Davydenko, Ninh Duc Hoang Long and Meritorious Artist Talgat Musabaev.

The Vietnam - Kazakhstan Friendship Concert is an event that introduces the quintessence of music of the two countries as well as the world. All of these things demonstrate the position and importance in the international cooperation between the two countries.
The joint performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 - a work known as the "National Anthem of the Earth", about the human worldview and outlook on life in the universe - by artists from both countries is a common voice of artists from both countries about a world of peace, cooperation and development.
As the Head of the Vietnamese Artists Delegation, People's Artist Quoc Hung said that this is a top-notch scholarly art program, with smooth and effective coordination between artists from Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
"We have practiced very carefully, and the preparation work has also been carried out carefully. Before the performance, the atmosphere was quite nervous and tense because it was the first time an orchestra from Vietnam combined with an orchestra from another country. However, when the music started, all feelings of anxiety immediately disappeared, giving way to sublime emotions," People's Artist Quoc Hung shared.
