Born in 1971, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh grew up at the Youth Theater. He has been involved with the theater for many years, becoming a familiar face to theater lovers. Outside the theater, he has appeared in many television series such as Nga ba thoi gian, Buc chan dung tinh yeu, Dau tri ...
Thanh Binh's role as Mr. Lam in The Way to the Flower Land was once remembered by the audience as a warm and kind character. Recently, he made an impression with the role of Mr. Dung in The Rainbow at the End of the Sky - an elderly father with symptoms of old age such as dementia and forgetfulness and the role of the commune chairman in With You, There Is Peace . Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh's flexible transformation surprised the audience many times: from dusty, thorny characters on stage to a gentle, friendly father in a TV series.

However, compared to many colleagues of the same generation, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh chose a quieter path. He frankly shared that he is not interested in promoting his name or participating in flashy events. For Thanh Binh, the most important thing is to maintain his passion for art and contribute to the audience with decent roles.
Besides his career, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh is also known for his journey as a single father. After his broken marriage, he took on the responsibility of raising 3 children alone. The reason was due to his ex-wife's poor health, so they both agreed to let him take care of the children.
With the erratic work schedule of an actor, sometimes rehearsing plays, sometimes filming all night, taking care of children is inevitably difficult. He once admitted that the biggest pressure is time. Many career opportunities, invitations to appear more on television, he had to refuse to prioritize picking up and taking care of his children.

Sharing with VietNamNet reporter, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh admitted that he is an emotional person, and takes family matters seriously. In case his child is sick and someone else replaces him on stage, he asks for leave to stay home and take care of his child.
"Maybe I'm behind in art compared to some of my other colleagues. However, I think I'm right and happy to spend time with my children and family," artist Thanh Binh confided.
But in return, Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh found simple happiness in his small family. He is not only a father but also a close friend of his children, ready to listen, share and suggest instead of imposing. Thanh Binh affirmed that he has never hindered the relationship between his children and his mother, on the contrary, he always created conditions for his children to bond with both.

Many times Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh was assigned the role of a single father. For him, this was an interesting coincidence but also gave him a new perspective, to see the possible situations of "your child, my child, our child".
Recently, many heartbreaking incidents have occurred with children who have to live with their parents' separation, have to live with their stepmother/stepfather and are abused both physically and mentally, making Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh think a lot.
"Parents can sacrifice themselves to protect their children, not sacrifice their children's happiness in exchange for their own happiness," he said.
Meritorious Artist Thanh Binh feels fulfilled when he is with his children, sharing joys and sorrows with them, so he has not thought about remarrying. Although the family is not as complete as before, it is still full of love.
After the spotlight, he returns to a warm home, where his three children are the motivation to continue trying every day.
