In the first seven months of the year, the city's economy continued to maintain a relatively high growth rate, with the total value of production across all sectors estimated at VND 11,716.38 billion, an increase of 9.75% compared to the same period last year; state budget revenue reached VND 505.95/681.529 billion, of which balanced revenue according to decentralization was estimated at VND 269.8/321.2 billion, reaching 84% of the plan. Investment and development in the city were focused on decisively; disbursement of public investment capital reached 77.9% of the plan. National target programs were implemented intensively; urban management was decisively directed, ensuring urban order, environmental sanitation, and investment in urban technical infrastructure; land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance were accelerated, ensuring the progress of projects in the area. The cultural and social sectors were proactively implemented according to the set plan, ensuring the progress of teaching and learning; state management of culture was strengthened, and social welfare policies were fully and promptly implemented. National defense and political security, social order and safety were maintained; defense drills were completed in wards and communes; criminal offenses and traffic accidents were kept under control.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the People's Committee of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City in the past period, especially in the disbursement of public investment capital, mobilization of investment resources, land clearance, and creation of landscapes and environments. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the City People's Committee to continue focusing on reviewing and completing all planning projects in the remaining months of the year as a basis for management, attracting investment, and implementing socio-economic development projects. He also urged them to focus on developing urban development programs, especially building Phan Rang - Thap Cham into a smart city; leveraging the advantages of a coastal city, promoting comprehensive tourism development, and connecting with tourist destinations throughout the province and the region. He emphasized the need to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in the area, striving to achieve 100% of the allocated capital by the end of 2023. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of effectively managing urban order. To bring about a transformation in state management of land and urban areas, ensuring a synchronized, civilized, and modern approach. To accelerate administrative reform, especially regarding procedures related to land and construction permits; to promote digital transformation throughout the city. To strictly enforce administrative discipline and order; to further enhance the sense of responsibility and work efficiency of officials, civil servants, and employees.
