Ha Quynh Nhu (born 2004, Yen Thanh, Nghe An ) has consecutively taken on the role of opening singer in 3 major art programs celebrating Uncle Ho's birthday.

All three programs were broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television (VTV), with a grand scale, profound content and high artistic requirements.

On May 15, Ha Quynh Nhu opened the Lotus Village Festival and the inauguration ceremony of Uncle Ho's statue in Nghe An with the song Lullaby for the Lotus Season (composer Ho Huu Thoi).

Her soulful melody and soft voice evoked deep emotions about the image of Uncle Ho's mother - Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - in the hearts of listeners.

On the evening of May 17, she took on the first performance of the program Take Off with the theme May Stay of VTV with the song Que Chung (lyrics by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky, music by Ho Trong Tuan), in collaboration with artist Le Thanh Phong.

The song, which is associated with veteran singers such as People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao and Sao Mai Huyen Trang, is now renewed through a folk-inspired arrangement and a youthful, emotional performance by Ha Quynh Nhu.

On the evening of May 18, Ha Quynh Nhu continued to take on the role of opening singer in the special art program "You are Ho Chi Minh" , taking place right at Ba Dinh Square, in front of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

This is a key political and cultural event, attended by senior leaders of the Party and State, broadcast live on VTV1.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the Gen Z female singer performed the song "Listening to the boat singing at night, remembering Uncle Ho" - composed by musician An Thuyen.

The song "Listening to the Boat Song Remembering Uncle Ho" is not only a classic song, but also a big challenge for a young artist like Ha Quynh Nhu. The performance was elaborately staged, imbued with folk culture, requiring inner depth and the courage to perform in front of thousands of spectators, including high-ranking leaders of the Party and State.

"I felt honored, proud and… very nervous. Especially in the program "You are Ho Chi Minh" at Ba Dinh Square, where the leaders attentively followed each performance. But that sacredness was a great source of motivation for me to express with all my feelings and dispel all pressure to sing better", Ha Quynh Nhu shared.

Although performing works that have been associated with the names of many veteran artists, Ha Quynh Nhu still boldly brings a new breath. With "Night listening to the boat singing while missing Uncle Ho", she chose to handle the opening rhythm faster, more emotionally, creating a unique mark while still keeping the spirit and soul of the song intact.

Not only leaving a deep impression through 3 opening performances on VTV1, Ha Quynh Nhu also made a strong impression with its wide spread on social networking platforms.

Immediately after the shows, she continuously received a series of encouraging messages and congratulations from domestic audiences as well as overseas Vietnamese communities in the US and Japan. Many video clips recording the genuine emotions of viewers were widely shared, contributing to bringing the name of the young female singer and the Vi, Giam folk songs closer to the young audience.

"I am so happy that I have trouble sleeping many nights because of the warm reception from the audience," Ha Quynh Nhu said emotionally.

In particular, the moment of receiving congratulatory flowers from General Secretary To Lam, along with the handshake and sincere words of encouragement from Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh right on the stage of the program "You are Ho Chi Minh" has become a deep, indelible mark in Ha Quynh Nhu's artistic journey.

Unable to hide her pride in the Vi-Giam folk songs of her homeland, the young female artist believes that the appeal of this music genre lies in its lyricism, romance and deep cultural connection.

She confided: "As a young person, I always focus on renewing and developing folk songs to suit the digital age, making it easier for young audiences to access."

Ha Quynh Nhu also expressed her hope that whenever her name is mentioned, the audience will remember Vi and Giam - the folk art form that the Gen Z female singer is passionate about and is tirelessly pursuing.

Ha Quynh Nhu was born in 2004 in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, and is one of the promising young voices of Vietnamese music.

She became widely known when she participated and won Third Prize in the Future Idol 2017 program.

In 2018, Ha Quynh Nhu continued to make a strong impression when she won the championship of The Voice Kids .

She is currently a vocal student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
