Our first impression upon meeting veteran Ma Thi Nang in Zone 3, Van Co Ward, Viet Tri City, was her simple, down-to-earth nature and her enthusiastic and responsible work ethic.

In 1980, at the age of 17, Ms. Nang joined the army, assigned to Unit 17354 of the Information Command, stationed in Khai Xuan commune, Thanh Ba district. In 1989, she transferred to work at Hoa Phong Export Garment Company (Nong Trang ward, Viet Tri city), and retired in 1998. Returning to civilian life, she and her family focused on economic development and participated in local activities. She regularly encouraged family members and residents in the area to adhere to the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; actively participating in movements and campaigns of the ward and the city.
In 2016, Ms. Nang and her family established Ngoc Quang Dai Co., Ltd., specializing in manufacturing packaging for export to countries like South Korea and Japan, as well as supplying the domestic market. This was also the time she decided to participate in activities with members of the Veterans Association branch in the area and the Veterans Association of the ward. After 8 years of establishment and operation, the company of Ms. Ma Thi Nang's family now achieves an annual revenue of approximately 5-6 billion VND, providing stable employment for over 100 workers.
Not only is she skilled in business, but during her participation in local association activities and social work, veteran Ma Thi Nang has always effectively and practically supported and organized various movements. In particular, she has always been a pioneer in charitable and humanitarian activities, joining hands to help those in difficult circumstances, and working with the association to visit members and veteran families when they are ill.
With her admirable generosity, she has repeatedly joined charitable groups to visit schools in mountainous provinces to donate books, school supplies, and clothing to students, hoping to share and help them have more opportunities to go to school, or to participate with groups in supporting people affected by floods in local areas...
Being friendly, open, and sincere, veteran Ma Thi Nang is always well-liked by everyone. Sharing about her, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thuc - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Viet Tri City - said: Veteran Ma Thi Nang is an exemplary and enthusiastic member, always upholding a sense of responsibility in her work, contributing to the emulation movements of the Association and actively participating in humanitarian and charitable work for the community.
For her contributions, veteran Ma Thi Nang has been repeatedly commended and rewarded by the People's Committee of Viet Tri City and the Provincial Veterans Association, serving as a shining example for the younger generation to learn from and emulate.
