Female Director of the Department becomes Party Secretary of Co To Island District

Ms. Le Ngoc Han, Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Information and Communications, has been appointed to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and will serve as the Secretary of the Co To District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On the morning of March 1st, in Co To district, Quang Ninh province, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Standing Committee's decision on personnel matters.

At the conference, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the Provincial Party Standing Committee's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Ms. Le Ngoc Han, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Information and Communications, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, holding the position of Secretary of the Co To District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and to nominate her for election by the Co To District People's Council to the position of Chairman of the Co To District People's Committee.

On the same day, the 6th term of the Co To District People's Council held its 23rd session - a special session - to elect a new Chairman of the Co To District People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. At the session, 100% of the delegates voted to elect Ms. Le Ngoc Han, Secretary of the District Party Committee, to the position of Chairman of the Co To District People's Committee.

In his congratulatory remarks and assignment of duties to the new Secretary of the Co To District Party Committee, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang affirmed that Ms. Le Ngoc Han is a capable official, well-trained, has held many positions, and has made significant contributions to the development of the province.

Prior to assuming the positions of Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Co To District, Ms. Le Ngoc Han had previously worked as a reporter for Quang Ninh Newspaper; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ninh Newspaper; Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications; and Director of the Department of Information and Communications.
