Spain will be at the 2024 Paris Olympics after beating the Netherlands 3-0 in the Nations League semi-finals at La Cartuja Stadium, where 21,856 fans watched and set a new record for the number of people watching a women's football match in the land of bulls.
Against the Netherlands early this morning, Spain took to the field with a squad consisting of ten World Cup champions and a new face, Laia Aleixandri, in central midfield.
The Spanish team missed a few early chances, but in the last five minutes of the match they broke the deadlock. Jenni Hermoso opened the scoring to give Spain a 1-0 lead over the Netherlands. Before the break, Aitana Bonmati broke through the Dutch penalty area to double Spain's advantage in the 45th minute.

In the second half, Ona Batlle's close-range finish sealed the result for Spain, helping them book their place in the final. Thus, having reached the final, Spain have only lost once in seven matches since winning the 2023 FIFA World Cup final.
In the other semi-final, France won 2-1 against Germany. The final between France and Spain will take place on February 28.
Reaching the final also means Spain qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. As for France, they qualified as the tournament hosts so the remaining spot will be determined in a play-off between Germany and the Netherlands.
