Petrolimex trains and improves Controller skills in 2024

On November 14, 2024 in Hanoi, Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex / Group) organized a training program to update knowledge and improve skills of the team of Controllers at member companies under the Group.

Attending the Program, on Petrolimex's side, there were: Party Secretary - Chairman of the Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh; Member of the Board of Directors Tran Tuan Linh; Head of the Board of Supervisors Dang Quang Tuan; Head of the Board of Personnel, Salary and Bonus Tran Van Giang; Leaders of the Board of Directors. On the lecturer side, there were Lawyer Truong Thanh Duc - Director of ANIV Law Firm; Master of Business Administration of the Free University of Brussels Luu Tien Cuong, along with more than 60 students who are Heads of the Board of Supervisors/ Supervisors at the Corporations/ LLCs under Petrolimex.

Following the success of the Controllers Conference organized by the Group in 2023, which received high praise, Petrolimex continues to organize a training program, updating knowledge and improving skills of the Controllers team at Petrolimex's member companies in 2024. The program, held over 2 days (from November 14-15, 2024), with training content designed "tailor-made" specifically for the Controllers team of Petrolimex. The content is built based on the requirements of the Group's leaders and a survey report on the current capacity, training needs, and difficulties of the Group's current Controllers team.

In addition, with the aim of systematizing and supplementing professional knowledge of accountants and auditors for the Group's Controllers. The program will train Controllers to effectively monitor and evaluate financial, business and administrative activities in the enterprise according to their duties, in accordance with the law and the Group's charter, especially to better understand the important contents of the Enterprise Law and the Contract Law that directly affect the operation and administration of the Enterprise.

Speaking at the Program, Party Secretary - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrolimex Pham Van Thanh emphasized: The Group's Supervisory Team at Petrolimex member units plays an extremely important role. The Group's Supervisory Team not only supervises the activities of companies to ensure compliance with the provisions of law and regulations, orientations and directions of the Group, but the Supervisory Team, through the implementation of assigned tasks, also provides advice and recommendations to contribute to improving the effectiveness of governance and risk prevention for the companies they supervise. In the current context, the business environment and the legal environment are increasingly complex and constantly changing, training and updating knowledge and skills for the Group's Supervisory Team is extremely necessary. At the same time, it is recommended that the Group's Supervisors at the companies continue to fully perform their responsibilities as Supervisors, ensuring that the company complies with the Group's regulations and the law; Monitor and warn about the implementation of rights, responsibilities and obligations of the Group's capital representatives at companies; early identify risks to warn about business activities, plans and strategies at companies and advise the Group, the Chairman, General Director and Directors of the Group's member units in ensuring compliance and preventing potential risks from occurring.
