Brooklyn Anderson's smart move helped her win first place - Source: KGW8
Recently, Brooklyn Anderson participated in a youth track and field event in Oregon (USA). She is currently studying at Thurston School in Springfield.
In the 100m hurdles event a few days ago, Anderson suddenly became famous. Right from the start, she showed her superiority by quickly leaving all her opponents behind. The race gradually became easier for Brooklyn Anderson when she passed the first 9 hurdles.
But at the 10th hurdle, a small accident suddenly happened when she got tangled and fell to the ground. That was also the opportunity for the remaining athletes to close in and narrow the gap.
If she didn't react quickly, Brooklyn Anderson could have lost the victory or even failed to finish in the top 3. But instead of getting up and continuing to run like everyone else, she made a move that surprised many people.
Without leaving the ground, Brooklyn Anderson began to… somersault forward. Before she crossed the finish line, she did this move one more time. Despite falling, thanks to this smart and agile handling, Brooklyn Anderson still won the race.
In an interview later, she said that she used to practice gymnastics so she was very good at doing somersaults.
She also added: "When I fell, I didn't know how far I was from the other athletes. So I just kept rolling until I reached the finish line because I really wanted to be first. I'm really proud of this moment."
Video of Anderson's quick tackle has created a minor stir on social media.
One user humorously commented: "This girl can beat all the other athletes. I bet after falling down, she can go out to have a sip of water, surf social media, then come back to compete and still win."
Another person praised: "Brooklyn Anderson is a prime example of mastering all skills and using them appropriately and flexibly."
