In a statement posted on his personal page, singer Phan Dinh Tung announced that a dispute exists between him and several individuals and organizations regarding intellectual property rights for the song "Khuc hat mung sinh nhat" (Birthday Song) and five albums: Hat Nhan, Tung Chung, Tung Thuan, Tung Phong, and Tung Teen.

According to the singer, the parties involved have "differences in establishing, exploiting, and managing intellectual property rights" for these musical products.

Notably, Phan Dinh Tung revealed that revenue generated from the music video "Birthday Song" on his official YouTube channel was temporarily recorded by the platform and revenue distribution system for another related party during the dispute. This was the period when the video achieved a very large number of views and commercial exploitation.

He stated that after a long period of complaints, work, and providing legal documents, "some related intellectual property rights have been restored," however, the case has not yet been definitively resolved. Currently, revenue related to the works is being temporarily held by several platforms and distribution systems pending a final conclusion from the competent authority or a legally binding ruling.

In the statement, Phan Dinh Tung emphasized that he and his team had repeatedly and proactively communicated and responded via email, as well as shown a willingness to engage in dialogue to find a solution that is "fair, civilized, and in accordance with the law." However, key issues between the parties have yet to be resolved with a final agreement.

The male singer asserted that publicly disclosing the information was "undesirable," but necessary to protect his legal rights and interests, as well as "fairness, professional honor, and the value of the artistic works he has created over the years."

He stated that if the matter continues to drag on without a suitable resolution, necessary legal steps will be taken in accordance with the law.
