Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Health on strengthening the work of triage, admission, treatment and control of measles infection in medical examination and treatment facilities, the Ha Tinh Department of Health has just issued a document requesting hospitals and medical centers with beds to develop, review and update plans for measles prevention and control at the unit; prepare admission, emergency, isolation and treatment plans in the event of an increase in suspected measles cases, measles patients coming for medical examination, hospitalization and in the event of an increase in severe and critical cases.

Implement diverse communication measures such as: through loudspeakers, posters, leaflets, websites, fanpages, direct instructions... so that patients, patients' relatives, medical staff, and people clearly understand measles and measures to prevent and control measles, and the effectiveness of measles vaccination.
Organize guidance and recommendations for family members of patients, people suspected of having measles, and people with measles to apply measures to reduce the spread of the disease such as: wearing masks, covering nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, washing hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer; maintaining personal hygiene, environmental hygiene, ensuring a reasonable diet to increase resistance...
Segregate and arrange separate examination areas in the examination department for suspected measles patients and measles patients. Implement professional classification in measles examination and treatment according to guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of measles. Arrange isolated measles admission and treatment areas in the infectious diseases department, pediatrics department or isolation areas of clinical departments.
For severe measles cases requiring intensive care, the hospital must arrange a treatment area in the intensive care unit/department or an intensive care unit/bed in the infectious disease department... and must ensure isolation and infection control to prevent cross-infection.

Organize departmental, inter-departmental, and hospital consultations according to regulations or request professional support from other medical examination and treatment facilities when requested. Supplement appropriate human resources in accordance with current regulations to meet treatment needs, reduce the burden on medical staff, and avoid cross-infection. Limit the number of visitors in medical examination and treatment facilities to prevent infection in medical examination and treatment facilities and the community. Strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance by medical staff, patients, and patients' relatives with regulations on infection prevention and control in medical examination and treatment facilities.
Prepare medicines, supplies and medical equipment to carry out measles examination and treatment, and control infections according to measles diagnosis and treatment guidelines. Provide training and update knowledge on measles diagnosis and treatment. Prepare response plans according to the measles situation, closely coordinate between medical examination and treatment and disease prevention.
