Announcing 20 products meeting 4-star OCOP standards in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

On April 29, the Department of Agriculture and Environment held a ceremony to announce 4-star OCOP standard products of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in 2024.

Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment awarded 4-star OCOP certificates to the entities.

To date, the province has 234 recognized products (131 3-star products, 103 4-star products), of which 24 are cooperatives. The product quality of the producers follows VietGAP, ISO, HACCP standards, focusing on packaging, traceability, brand building, etc.

In 2025, the province strives to develop 40 more OCOP products (32 3-star products, 7 4-star products, 1 5-star product). At the same time, it will complete a synchronous and modern OCOP product management and monitoring system; strengthen training and capacity building for officials and entities; step up trade promotion, product promotion, and gradually expand export markets.

Mr. Nguyen Van Da, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, visited the exhibition areas of 4-star OCOP products.

At the announcement ceremony, the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment announced the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, recognizing 20 products meeting 4-star OCOP standards of 6 entities in the localities: Ba Ria City; Phu My City and Long Dat District. The evaluated products belong to the following groups: honey, coffee, dairy products, cordyceps mushrooms, seasoned dried fish, etc.
