Launching a 120-day peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Comrade Tran Phu's birth

The 120-day emulation movement to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party, including a series of important political and social events, is being implemented by Duc Tho district (Ha Tinh) from now until May 2024.

Towards the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party (May 1, 1904 - May 1, 2024), on the afternoon of December 27, the People's Committee of Duc Tho district organized the launching ceremony of the movement "120 days of peak emulation"; coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to launch the Contest to learn about the life, background and career of Comrade Tran Phu and to compose and promote literary and artistic works.

Organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities; a contest to learn about the life and revolutionary career of comrade Tran Phu; build 120 specific and practical works and tasks to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of the first General Secretary of the Party, and at the same time call on cadres, party members and people to promote patriotic emulation movements to successfully carry out the tasks of economic , cultural and social development, ensure national defense and security, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set out by the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Duc Tho district will develop a project to renovate the memorial site of General Secretary Tran Phu; organize a scientific seminar "Tran Phu's Will - Duc Tho Aspiration".

The contest is launched from December 23, 2023 to March 30, 2024. Through the contest, it aims to contribute to educating cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, union members, youth, students and people of all walks of life to understand more deeply the life, career and great contributions of comrade Tran Phu - the first General Secretary of the Party to the revolutionary cause of Vietnam. At the same time, it creates a political movement among cadres, party members and people, contributing to promoting patriotic emulation movements to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out by the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the District Party Congress, term XXX, 2020 - 2025...

The contest also calls on artists and people from all walks of life to participate in creating literary and artistic genres (poetry, music, short stories...) about the life and career of General Secretary Tran Phu.

After the launching ceremony, the District People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project "Repair and upgrade of public lighting system with LED lights in Duc Tho district".

The project is over 4km long and is installed and repaired on main roads in the center of Duc Tho district with a total cost of nearly 15 billion VND.

Previously, members of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association offered incense and reported their achievements at the tomb of the late General Secretary Tran Phu.
