Previously, on April 23, the Dong Phu District Military Command received a report that a resident of Team 4, Den Den Hamlet, Tan Phu Town, while digging a pond, discovered a cylindrical iron block, suspected to be a bomb.
Upon receiving the news, the Dong Phu District Military Command sent forces to investigate and cordon off the area for the safety of the people. Through the survey, the cylindrical iron block was identified as a 175mm artillery shell left over from the war. Therefore, the authorities collected and transported it to a safe gathering place.
Specialized forces bring the warhead to the assembly point
The District Military Command recommends that bombs, mines, bullets, and explosives left over from the war are still buried underground in the area. Therefore, when discovered, organizations and individuals should immediately report to the nearest military agency for timely collection and handling; absolutely do not arbitrarily handle or remove them, as this will endanger yourself and the community.
