On May 29, the Drug Administration of Vietnam announced the above after the Hanoi Center for Testing Drugs, Cosmetics and Food had the results of testing product samples taken at An An Pharmacy in Kien Hung Ward, Ha Dong District.
The drug label reads Theophylline Extended Release Tablets 200 mg (Theophylin 200 mg), batch number 21127, manufacturing date 26/2/2022 and expiry date 26/2/2026, place of manufacture Pharmacy Laboratories Plus. The product label does not have information about the circulation registration number, import license number, or importing facility. To ensure safety for users, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the Hanoi Department of Health to coordinate with the police, market management and relevant agencies to inspect An An pharmacy, trace the origin of the product batch with the above information and handle it.
Businesses, drug users and people are advised not to buy, sell or use the above products, and to report to authorities if they detect signs of suspected counterfeit drugs or drugs of unknown origin.
