Illegal mining boat discovered

Specifically, at about 3:00 a.m. on June 17, 2025, at Km 6+00 of Hieu River in Mai Dong village, Gio Mai commune, Gio Linh district, during patrol and control, the Waterway Police Team - Traffic Police Department discovered a waterway vehicle without a license plate driven by Dao Van Duoc (born in 1981; residing in Quarter 3, Ward 4, Dong Ha City) with Nguyen Van Duong (born in 1979; residing in Quarter 2, Ward 4, Dong Ha City) and Nguyen Tham (born in 1986; residing in Quarter 3, Ward 4, Dong Ha City) pumping sand directly from the vehicle's compartment to the gathering area.

At the time of vehicle inspection, the driver could not present a professional certificate, did not have a vehicle registration certificate, did not have a technical safety and environmental protection certificate, and in the vehicle's storage compartment there were 11 m3 ^of minerals (sand, gravel) with no proven origin or invoices or documents.

The case is currently under investigation and clarification.
