The "Building a Happy Family" Club in Yen My village, Chuyen Ngoai commune, Duy Tien town was established in 2023 with more than 20 couples participating. Since its establishment, the Club has regularly maintained regular activities every 3 months with many diverse and rich forms such as: organizing exchanges, thematic talks, competitions, democratic flower picking... At the exchanges, CBHV are propagandized about the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, scientific child rearing, and guidance for women to be aware of safe food production and processing..., helping Club members to be more aware of building happy families, limiting domestic violence, and becoming more attached and loving to each other.
Along with that, the Club cares for and looks after its members such as: organizing visits when they are sick, giving gifts to young people leaving for military service; giving gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances in the village... The members of the Club are also active propagandists and mediators at the grassroots level in disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. In particular, in the construction of new rural areas, the Club members have promoted the spirit of self-awareness, volunteerism, actively participating in wall translation, donating land for rural roads, contributing money and working days to join the locality in building and reaching the finish line of the new rural commune. With exciting and practical forms of activities, the Club "Building happy families" in Yen My village attracts more and more members to participate, currently the Club has nearly 60 couples participating...
According to the synthesis, the whole province has developed more than 100 "Building Happy Families" clubs, with over 4,000 members. To maintain and promote the effectiveness of the model, every year, women's unions at all levels in the province organize training, thematic talks, seminars, competitions, exchanges, discussions, and member activities with contents on family lifeeducation such as: guiding parents to raise good children, raising and teaching children scientifically according to their ages; paying attention to education and career orientation for minors; preventing gender-based violence; health care, environmental protection; food hygiene and safety, traffic safety... Along with that, the unions at all levels direct clubs in the area to organize thematic activities every month, every quarter and regularly associate with emulation movements and campaigns, such as: "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean"; "Confident, self-respecting, loyal, responsible"...
The clubs are effective in building families according to the criteria of prosperity, equality, progress and happiness. Every year, on the occasion of the Vietnamese Family Day, the associations at all levels organize exchanges between the "Building Happy Families" and "5 No's and 3 Clean" clubs, attracting thousands of members to participate; directing each association at all levels to organize at least one activity/year in a practical, effective manner, suitable to the local situation. At the same time, the association's bases organize conferences on topics such as "Keeping the family fire warm", "Teaching children to be talented", "Communication skills and behavioral culture in the family and at the workplace"; organize conferences on the standards of Vietnamese families in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country "Prosperity, progress and happiness"; cooking competitions; exchanges on "Learning about the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence"...
It can be affirmed that the model of the “Building a happy family” club has been implemented by the women’s associations at all levels in the province with many rich, diverse, practical activities, suitable to local reality, attracting many members to participate. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and legal knowledge, gradually reducing domestic violence, being aware of promoting the role and position of the family, preserving the good traditions of the Vietnamese family.
