On February 21st, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, presided over a meeting to celebrate the Party, the Lunar New Year, and the great national unity. Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong summarized the key aspects of socio -economic development and the activities of the City's Fatherland Front in 2024. The Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi stated that Hanoi has implemented comprehensive solutions for socio-economic development, achieving many important results. For the first time, city-wide budget revenue exceeded 500,000 billion VND (the highest ever); the investment environment continues to improve. Hanoi is a pioneer in implementing digital transformation, developing the cultural industry, and strongly promoting tourism…

The city is striving to complete many important strategic tasks that form the legal basis and major orientations for the development of the capital in the coming period, such as: Implementing the Law on the Capital (amended); Planning for Hanoi Capital for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; adjusting the General Planning for Hanoi Capital until 2045, with a vision to 2065, which has been approved by the Prime Minister ...

Ms. Huong emphasized that, contributing to the city's overall success over the past year, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the city continued to affirm its position and role in uniting the entire nation; selecting and implementing tasks with focus and priority, organizing many new activities; effectively carrying out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; strengthening social supervision and criticism, contributing to Party building and government building... In particular, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the city successfully organized the Congress for the 2024-2029 term with many new and creative points; mobilized resources to ensure social security, support those affected by floods and storms, especially those affected by typhoon No. 3, joined hands to support the poor and those in difficult circumstances, and strengthened people's trust.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi affirmed that, with responsibility and love for Hanoi, the team of artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, and overseas Vietnamese of the capital have made many initiatives and innovations in propaganda work, mobilizing the people, consolidating the great national unity; promoting the traditions of Thang Long - Hanoi, arousing patriotism, national pride and self-respect, joining hands to build a City for Peace, maintaining social order and safety; making many contributions to social supervision and criticism, contributing to Party building, government building, social welfare work, and actively participating in advisory councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels.

In particular, overseas Vietnamese in Hanoi have integrated deeply into local societies and continue to engage in many activities directed towards their homeland, including charitable activities, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, making important contributions to the building of the country and the capital city.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong respectfully thanked the great contributions of artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, and overseas Vietnamese delegates to the activities of the Fatherland Front, especially their contributions to building the great national unity of the Capital City in 2024.

Emphasizing that the tasks for 2025 will be more challenging and demanding, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi hopes that artists, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, and overseas Vietnamese in the capital will continue to uphold their roles and responsibilities, using their prestige and influence to contribute to caring for, building, and strengthening the great national unity; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front; participate in social supervision and criticism; contribute to building the Party and the government; and propagate and mobilize the people to support the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, and the locality. To awaken and spread love for Hanoi, the spirit of building a "Creative City, a City for Peace," preserving and promoting the thousand-year-old cultural values ​​so that the cultural resources and people of the Capital truly become important new resources, contributing increasingly effectively to the socio-economic development, prosperity, happiness and sustainability of a cultured, civilized, modern capital with happy people…
