Promoting the role of Party cells in new rural construction

Implementing the construction of a model new-style rural village, the Party cell of Tho Nam village, Te Thang commune has led, directed and mobilized the people to promote their role as the main subject and actively participate in response. In the process of implementing each criterion and task, the Party cell discussed openly and democratically, thus promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility in each cadre and party member, spreading typical factors and tasks among the people.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Thuy, Party cell secretary of Tho Nam village, said: "In order for the people to understand and agree, the Party cell committee coordinated with the organizations to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to propagate and mobilize people to contribute money, labor, donate land to build roads, build fences, build flower roads, create a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment in the village. From the mobilized funds, the village has built 2.65km of internal roads; installed lighting poles on the entire traffic route... In particular, the Party cell has propagated and mobilized 68 households to agree to donate thousands of square meters of residential land to widen the traffic route from 3.5m to 8m.

Regarding economic development, the Party cell focuses on leading and directing the promotion of the application of science and technology in production to increase productivity, product quality and economic efficiency per unit of cultivation. At the same time, it encourages and motivates households and individuals with conditions to develop production and business sectors. Thanks to that, the average income per capita of the village in 2024 will reach 71.8 million VND...

Assessing the role of the Party cell in building a new rural area in the locality, Secretary of the Party Committee of Te Thang commune, Nguyen Hong Diep, said: “The Party Committee of the commune has directed the Party cells to concentrate highly and promote the role of the core leadership. Each Party cell must create solidarity and unity within the Party Committee, promote the pioneering and exemplary role of the head of the Party cell, association, union members and Party members. The Party cells in the villages and residential areas in the commune have promoted their leadership role in carrying out the local political tasks. This includes contributions to building a new rural area with many creative models and methods. Since then, the appearance of the commune's villages has changed a lot, political security and social order and safety have been ensured; the people's economy has been increasingly improved, contributing to Te Thang commune being recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards by the end of 2024".

Nong Cong District Party Committee has 55 grassroots party organizations, including 29 commune and town party committees, 16 party committees of agencies and units and 10 grassroots party cells; 463 party cells directly under the grassroots party committees with more than 10,000 party members. Identifying the new rural construction as a key task, in which the village party cells play the "nucleus" role in determining success, the Standing Committee of Nong Cong District Party Committee has strengthened training and fostering to improve the qualifications and leadership and direction capacity of the team of secretaries and village heads so that they can promote their roles well in the process of performing their tasks. At the same time, the district has consolidated and assigned specific tasks to members of the steering committee for new rural construction; requiring communes to consolidate commune-level steering committees and village development committees to proactively carry out tasks.

With the determination of leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the proactive mobilization of resources from localities and the active participation of the people, especially the role of Party cells, each cadre and Party member has been promoted, the New Rural Construction movement in Nong Cong district has been vigorously implemented and achieved many remarkable results. Party cells have mobilized resources from the people and external investment sources to build welfare works such as village cultural houses, village roads, alleys, etc. In 2024 alone, people in the district donated 4,778.55m2 of residential land, 3,590m2 of rice fields; demolished 56 gates, 2,530m of fences;... contributed more than 28.3 billion VND to concretize inter-village, inter-commune and intra-field roads; 201 village cultural houses were invested in new construction and repair; Build 16 model roads, 184 model gardens, 32 entertainment areas for the elderly and children in villages...

Up to now, Nong Cong district has 28/28 communes meeting the new rural standards, 6 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards, 3 communes meeting the model new rural standards, 24 villages meeting the model new rural villages. These results all have the role of the Party cells in the process of building new rural areas in the district.
