Currently, the province has 216 grassroots associations (including 138 Red Cross Associations of wards, communes and towns); 3 branches under the Provincial Association, 10 Red Cross Associations of districts and cities; 1,476 branches, 74,270 members, 29,189 youth; 3,556 volunteers. At the provincial level, there are 12 full-time officers; at the district level, there are 34 full-time officers; at the commune level, there are 124 officers in charge of Red Cross work, and 14 part-time officers.
Implementing the Tet Charity Movement for the year of the Snake 2025, the results of the provincial Union at all levels have mobilized 71,060 gifts, worth 35 billion VND to support poor families, those in difficult circumstances, victims of Agent Orange, and people with disabilities to have the opportunity to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet. In coordination with the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Provincial Youth Union organized the Tet Sum Vay Program in 2025 for workers, civil servants and poor laborers.
Mobilizing resources to build 19 CTĐ houses for poor households and households in difficult circumstances, worth 1.3 billion VND; repairing 9 houses, worth 120 million VND. Cooperating with sponsors to build 1 clean water well in Di Linh district, worth 50 million VND; supporting 20 solar lights in Dam Rong district, worth 152 million VND.
The Association at all levels received 182 charity groups from inside and outside the province to the localities to give gifts to 33,143 poor and disadvantaged people, worth 14.2 billion VND; supported poor families with sick, accident, ill, funeral, and emergency cases for 9,508 people, worth more than 3.7 billion VND. Coordinated to award 406 scholarships, worth 735 million VND, 1,891 gifts, books, and school supplies to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, worth more than 500 million VND; mobilized to award 115 health insurance cards to the poor, poor students, and those in difficult circumstances, worth 88.4 million VND.
The campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address" maintains support for over 1,000 addresses, worth 3.3 billion VND. The Red Cross Associations at all levels in the province maintain effective implementation of social assistance models such as: Humanitarian money boxes, Love rice jars, Raising goats for breeding, Raising cows for breeding, Raising piggy banks, Members helping each other develop the economy , Buying health insurance cards for the poor, Humanitarian eye surgery, Free kitchens, Free vehicles... From these models, people in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people, homeless orphans, Agent Orange victims and unfortunate lives have been supported so that they can be confident, rise up in life, develop family economy, and integrate into the community.
Community development models such as: Solar lights, clean water wells, bridges for people... in ethnic minority areas, remote areas continue to be implemented, contributing to the Party Committee and government in effectively implementing the hunger eradication and poverty reduction program and the Movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
Organizing the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2025 with the theme: "Humanitarian journey - spreading love" in Bao Lam district, awarding 20 scholarships, 20 gifts, 1 livelihood model, 1 charity house... with a total value of over 8 billion VND. In coordination with the Steering Committee 502 of Lam Dong province to participate in the mass mobilization campaign in Di Linh, Dam Rong, Lam Ha districts, in the program, the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded 5 charity houses worth 300 million VND, 2 livelihood models worth 10 million VND, awarded 115 gifts worth over 57 million VND and presented a symbolic plaque of 300 gifts, each worth 500 thousand VND to policy families and households in difficult circumstances. In addition, the Dam Rong District Red Cross Society awarded 1 solar light line worth 15 million VND, the Di Linh District Red Cross Society awarded 1 charity house.
The Association at all levels actively promoted propaganda on health education, disease prevention and control, clean water, environmental sanitation, health care for cadres, members, volunteers and local people; coordinated the organization of 5,710 working days of environmental sanitation, road repair, and bush clearing. Effectively maintained the charity kitchens of the Red Cross in districts and cities, supporting 80,614 meals and porridge for poor patients and their families, ensuring nutrition, worth 2.3 billion VND.
Mobilized and received 16 medical teams to examine and provide free medicine for 5,449 people, worth 2.3 billion VND, in which, coordinated with the Provincial Police Clinic to organize a program to examine and provide free medicine for over 300 people in difficult circumstances in Lieng S'rong commune, Dam Rong district. Continued to implement the program "Nutrition for poor and disabled children", presenting 15 cartons of milk to the SOS Children's Village in Da Lat sponsored by Nutifood Milk Company.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole province organized 32 voluntary blood donation campaigns in districts, cities, universities, colleges, agencies and units, resulting in the receipt of 7,080 units of blood, ensuring blood supply for emergency and treatment work for the health sector.
Currently, Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Association continues to coordinate with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong Provincial Red Cross Associations to develop a Project to Arrange and Streamline the Red Cross Association's Organizational Structure at all levels in accordance with the spirit of the Central and the province. Issue documents directing and guiding the grassroots Associations to implement the Association's work and the Red Cross movement after the merger and streamlining the apparatus in accordance with the local situation. Continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to pay attention and direct the arrangement of personnel to work at the Red Cross Associations of communes and wards after the merger; resolve the regime for cadres who retire early after the merger. Consolidate the organizational structure after the merger and do not organize district-level administrative units. Coordinate with the Provincial Political School to organize a professional training course on Red Cross work in July 2025.
Continue to promote the implementation and development of humanitarian models contributing to the Movement "Skillful mass mobilization in building new rural areas". Coordinate with the Provincial Steering Committee 502 to carry out mass mobilization work in remote communes of the province. Strengthen propaganda work on humanitarian activities, health education, disease prevention and control, clean water, environmental sanitation, health care, and traffic safety.
Actively mobilize resources to carry out humanitarian and charitable activities such as: building charity houses, wells, giving gifts, scholarships, free medical examinations, medicine... for the poor and disadvantaged; Program "Nutrition for poor and disabled children"; CTĐ Kitchen, building boarding kitchens at schools. Continue to direct and urge the Association's bases to continue implementing the Movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community". Direct the Association at all levels to implement the construction of a new model "Livelihood support" for poor households and households in difficult circumstances. Coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and organizations to organize the 13th Red Journey Program with the theme "Red drops of flower city" combined with honoring typical blood donors at the provincial level in Da Lat city, the Campaign "Red drops of blood in summer" 2025; Implement propaganda, mobilize, and effectively organize Voluntary Blood Donation Days and fixed blood donation points to ensure blood supply for the health sector.
