On May 26, a leader of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, said that he had decided to administratively fine teacher NTX (Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School) VND 3.75 million for the act of physically abusing a TGVT student.

In addition, the decision also requires teacher X. to publicly apologize to student T., unless student T. or her parents request not to publicly apologize.
As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on May 9, Ms. X. was assigned to supervise the final exam of an 8th grade class. While doing the test, she discovered a male student sitting at the front desk reaching into his pocket, suspecting that he was taking documents, so Ms. X. immediately stepped forward and slapped the male student twice in the face.
According to the school leadership, after the parents reported the incident, the school asked Ms. X. to apologize to the parents, but she did not admit to beating the student. Only after extracting the classroom camera did she admit.
Parents requested the school to strictly handle their children's violations of exam regulations. At the same time, they resolutely denounced because they believed that Ms. X. had repeatedly beaten students during the teaching process, causing their children to be afraid and psychologically affected.
The leaders of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School said that this was not the first time Ms. X. had been reported to have beaten students. Previously, parents had also come to the school in large numbers to denounce Ms. X. for beating students and demanded that she be punished, but the school had persuaded them and apologized, so they let it go.
