According to Mr. Son, this draft resolution, although focusing on developing the private economy, can indirectly create motivation for the formation of enterprises that know how to do business with culture and protect culture with business strength.
"This is a very welcome transformation, if guided in the right direction," Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son affirmed.
However, this National Assembly delegate also pointed out that opportunities always come with challenges. If there is a lack of control over ethical standards and value orientation, then strongly opening up to the private sector can also lead to undesirable consequences.
"We may witness a segment of businesses following low tastes, purely commercializing cultural elements, leading to the erosion of identity and deviation of aesthetic standards in society," said a delegate from the Hanoi delegation.
This resolution will indirectly promote the formation of enterprises that know how to do business with culture and protect culture with business strength. This is a very welcome transformation, if guided in the right direction.

From there, he recommended that the draft resolution should add some specific points to address the above consequences:
First, add a separate incentive mechanism for businesses operating in the cultural and creative fields.
Second, there needs to be a policy to support private investment in heritage conservation, traditional arts, and art education, especially in remote areas.
Third, attach cultural and ethical responsibilities to businesses that enjoy great incentives from policies.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son affirmed that developing the private economy is a strategic step, but developing a private economy with culture, responsibility and identity is the sustainable path.
“If we can integrate cultural vision into the process of designing and implementing economic policies, this resolution will truly be an important milestone,” Mr. Son emphasized.
According to the program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on May 15, the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on a number of special mechanisms and policies for private economic development was submitted by the Government to the National Assembly.
The National Assembly also agreed to adjust the meeting agenda to vote on this resolution on the morning of May 17, instead of June 28 as originally planned.
Accordingly, on the morning of May 15, after listening to the Submission and Report on the examination of the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on mechanisms and policies for private economic development, the National Assembly discussed the draft resolution in groups in the afternoon of the same day.
As planned, this morning, May 16, the National Assembly continued to discuss in the hall the draft resolution on private economic development, before pressing the button to pass this resolution in the morning session on May 17.
